RM2.50 RM Note
I first got the RM5 change from the lady selling noodles at the famous chendol stall along Jonker Street. The next time I took the RM5 out from my pocket, it became two RM2.50 RM note instead. I swear to God that I just stuffed the money into my pocket and 10 minutes later, it became like that.
And I lost RM5 just like that.

Just tape it. If people refuse to accept it, exchange it with banks. BNM periodically take back spoiled notes and destroy them.

It’s not possible to tear a RM5 note without the help of a pair of scissors kua?!
But then again, what do I know. I’ve never tried tearing it apart before.
Maybe the note was already torn and it got stuck back together, you put it in your pocket, by the time you took it out, it got dislodged. Yes, far fetched, I know.

Bryan : Need to buy clear type cellophane type first.
Pinkstrez : Seriously, it was torn into two mysteriously.
Sean : Don’t want. :P
Joshuaongys : Me not that stupid yet.
Rachel : Not sure neh.
Michy : Yes, I could tear for the second time. But I tried tearing it for the third time, it’s not possible. Not even a single line.
湘绣蜻蜓 : Can tampal back, but whether can be used or not is another thing.
Ellone : No bugs loh.
Shinky : Can meh? Sure or not?
Chong : LOL. Seriously, I don’t know how it happened.
Blueapple : Evil plan but it just might work.
Littlepolarisll : That’s what I wanted to do.
Che-Cheh : And use it? :P
Moo_t : I wonder the CIMB bank in my campus will accept such note and exchange for me.
KY : LOL. Good one.
Milo : Bank Negara or just any other bank?
Hwey : Yes, I know. But the thing was torn into two mysteriously. When inspecting, I tried to tear it for the second time and I managed to tear it without any help of tools but mere fingers. Yet, when I tried to tear it again last night, no matter how much force I exerted, it just wouldn’t split. Also, the note has not glue or cellophane tape on it when I got the money from the auntie.

Go to Bank Negara, can change back good notes.
April 29th, 2008 10:45
@Jason : Any bank =) If so semangat, drive up to BNN :p

as long as the serial number is not torn- if i’m not mistaken. erm.. banks will change for you, or like LRT stations.
def small vendors or restaurants wouldn’t accept them.
pay your bills with it. they will take it. you’re lucky it’s a RM5 note, i had a RM50 note once. dang, i was freaking out but managed to change it when i bought my tix at the LRT station. heh.

Can use to pay the tol.
Even if you accidentally give them the fake rm50 notes. They wil receive it without any notice.

Was blog hopping, and saw this hilarious post, hahaha :D I’m always fascinated with the RM5 notes and always have the urge to try tearing them, but of course I didn’t. Nice to see that it is breakable, bwahahahaha :D

Simon : Me at Malacca.
Milo : LOL. No way. It’s going to cost more to drive to KL than getting a new RM5.
Felicia : Probably I will just let it go this time since its just RM5 and I am too lazy to go to the bank. :D
Jijitankyy : So bad your suggestion. Heh. I will always double check the money you give me next time.
RealGunners : Yes, it is tear-able but how it got torn into two on its own, I have no idea.
