6 Dozens Of J.Co Donuts
My last trip to J.Co Donuts & Coffee made me craved for their donuts every now and then. They are simply addictive and irresistible, almost. The fact that you don’t have any donuts franchise in Malacca isn’t helping at all. I remember Mahkota Parade used to have Dunkin Donuts before the outlet was taken over by Starbucks Coffee some time back.

Hence, after our Bao Bao pan mee brunch, we drove ourselves to Pavilion just to satisfy our donuts cravings. The queue wasn’t that long but it was an hour later when it was my turn. At one point, I was standing right in front of the work station where they make their donuts.

Instead of keep coming back for more of their donuts, I decided to buy a dozen, containing all their varieties, for myself and May Gin.

Well, I didn’t buy for myself only. I also bought another five dozens for Ah Yong’s colleagues, Kai Hong, my sister Jamie and Ah Kit.
6 dozens = 72 donuts = More than RM100 worth of donuts!
Muahahahahhahahaha…!

I also ordered iced Thai tea and iced lemon tea, which two glazzy donuts were given for every beverage. Nothing special about the drinks, however, do try the Thai tea. Heh! I like it.

No introduction is needed for my brother, Ah Yong, who joined us not too long after we bought our donuts. He took half day leave to find time to buy some gadgets for himself.

May Gin, my date for the day. I really love hanging out with her and also her joining my food outings. Although she isn’t willing to spend money on good food like us, she is one who eats heartily, unlike some girls that I know who would say full even before the food is served and / or having one or two bites, afraid of getting fat.

*Munch munch munch*

Now that I have tried all, if not, most of the flavours, I quite like the ones boxed in white. They are more unique in terms of flavours and / or texture. I don’t really like their chocolate banana donuts and mango flavoured donuts. Strawberry wasn’t that bad actually as May Gin helped herself with it.

No more J.Co donuts.
For the mean time.
P/S : Two dozens belonged to Kai Hong, you can read here.

You eat alot and you love J.Co donuts.
Everytime I went to Pavillion (my office near there), I still can see a lot of people queuing there for the donuts.
Personally, I do not like to eat donuts as too sweet for me.. hehe..
December 19th, 2007 09:39
You’re the second person I read who bought 72 donuts one-shot. J.co is really making bloggers’ money!!
December 19th, 2007 09:39
I’m not a donuts fans myself, but i’m curious how good is the donut @ JCO donuts. There were so many people lining up just for Donuts…
Really very good ah? I meant the donuts… :-p Is it worth for hour long queue for those donuts?
December 19th, 2007 09:43
I have just read TZ’s comment on my blog, and just dropped two on Keeyit’s… Now I see both of them here… Bloggers are hard at work at this time of the day, huh….
December 19th, 2007 10:06
lol. 1 hour for the donuts and 6 dozens of it? unbelievable. By the way, the one you highlighted, were the best of all. Alcapone being the top one.
December 19th, 2007 11:13
zthon: go get krispy kreme in London. It taste as good as JCo. And then when u come back u can compare. YOu will loove krispy kreme for sure.
Jason: oooh, love the date we had. It was great fun. Hehe… But yeah, I remember all the donuts were running out… Damm scared no more donuts to buy after the 1 hour queue.

December 19th, 2007 17:34
WOW. We are definitely impressed. 1 hour q for so many dozens of donuts. Whoever person who opened that J.Co outlet must be swimming in all the moolahs by now…Haha..But I personally love that one pic where you posed with your box of donuts. Looks really cute! :p

Sbd18 : Haha! Well, J.Co was the hype back then and I certainly didn’t mind the 1 hour wait, as long as I get to try all of their flavours. I tried Big Apple last week, personally, I prefer J.Co.
Sean : *hands out tissues*
Michy : Shame on you. :P Faster go Pavilion, queue up, buy them and eat them.
Esther : How could you? Ask Boss Stewie to treat the guys and girls in the office to a donut buffet. :P
Zthon : I was buying for my friends, that’s why ended up with 6 dozens. Well, that depends, some prefer J.Co while the others prefer Big Apple. I prefer J.Co though. Anyway, according to May Gin, there’s Krispy Kreme in London. You should try that because J.Co copied Krispy Kreme while Big Apple copied J.Co. Haha!
Keeyit : The queue should be shorter soon with the opening of a second branch in Sunway Pyramid. Heh! I guess donuts aren’t just your thing.
Narrowband : LOL. I thought I was the only crazy one to buy 6 dozens. I guess, the first thing to do before they start their weekday is to read blogs. :D Its the same for a lot of people, even for me. The first thing I do when I wake up is to check emails and read blogs, before I step out of my room to brush my teeth.
TZ : The donuts? To me, they are good, better than Dunkin Donuts. However, whether is it worth the time queuing up, it’s hard to say. Why don’t you try one when the queue is shorter?
Surfnux : Alpacone is my favourite, followed by Why Nut?. Heh! It wasn’t just 1 hour actually, I had to wait another 30 minutes for them to pack my donuts.
Cutie : Now that we tried all, we know what flavour to buy next time. :D
Hao : At J.Co Donuts & Coffee, Pavilion. :P
Che-Cheh : Haha! Not to die for, but for the hype.
Simmy : That one is green tea. Didn’t really like it as the green tea wasn’t really green tea.
Chong : For food, anytime.
Two Super Heroes : Haha! The owner of J.Co has been laughing all the way to the bank even before he/she started the franchise in Malaysia. Now, we are only increasing the digits in the banks. Cute? -sweat-

Aronil : Thanks. Yes, I’m infected as well.
MerDurian : I think we are the only two crazy people to buy 6 dozens of donuts at one go. Haha! *high 5*
Chingy : Yes, 6 dozens! The white color almond donut is called Alcapone. Do read up a little and you will know who is Alcapone. It’s their best seller and signature donut too.
December 20th, 2007 00:40

Esther : Do call me when he does that. I will come over. :P
MerDurian : Yes, I prefer J.Co more than Big Apple too.
Zthon : Haha! I guess its during your next trip to London then. Make sure you write it down before you go. Yes, donut frenzy. In Singapore, there are even more donut shops, easily more than 5.
KLJS : You can eat Gardenia bread. :P
Ayie : Haha. You know your ketupat and rendang are totally different thing compare to donuts, right? :P
Ahlost : LOL. It’s better if you fly over instead of the donuts.
Jos : They taste good too! Heh! Gonna try out your Singapore’s Factory Donuts, if I can.
Xin : Try once then you will know whether you are addicted to it or not.
December 25th, 2007 21:59
I never try before, but my housemate crazy about it, he can drive from Cyberjaya to Pavilion twice a week just to get 1 dozen of donut and come back, every week, almost.
December 25th, 2007 22:02
Vhanded : That’s crazy. Haha. Really. Why wouldn’t he buy more at one go and put it in the fridge?
