Old Town Kopitiam
After we had bah kut teh for lunch and walking around Equine Park Jusco, we ended up at Old Town Kopitiam for a cup of coffee / tea where we could sit down and chill ourselves.

Nothing beats spending time together with my brothers and talking craps, reminiscing the old days, how we disliked each other at one point of our life, spilling out our inner thoughts, bad mouthing someone else and / or even discussing about our future.

Well, this isn’t about food, but just some photos that I took while we spent three hours at the shop lot. However, if you want the best of the best among the franchise, do visit the one at Seremban 2. Their food quality and service wise are top notch compared to many other branches of the same franchise.

Just for your information, I am not a coffee lover and I certainly, barely, hardly, almost never drink hot drinks.

Ah, brothers for life!

Wheee I love Old Town! There’s this one week that I actually patronize the kopitiam 7 days consecutively, twice in a day on certain days too. Haha my short term goal is to try everything on the menu by the end of this year!
So come KL again, we go yumcha at Old Town! There’s one near my place. :)

This post indulges me in reminiscence…
When I entered through your door,
I would scream your name.
And give you a great big hug.
Now when I enter into your home,
I scream out and there’s no answer.
How and why is there no answer?
That’s because you’re gone forever.
You don’t walk this land,
You lay beneath it.
As I cry and mourn for the loss of a loved one,
I feel your presence around me.
Comforting me, telling me it’s all right.
I try to imagine the scenario never occurred.
And I wish you were still alive.
That wish cannot be granted,
Because you are gone forever.
Grandpa,
Do you remember
when i was 4 and you pushed me on the swing?
Do you remember
when you made me hot coffee on a cold day?
Do you remember
when you wiped away my tears when i was upset?
Do you remember
when you said that my drawings where great?
Gone, but not forgotten
…I’m not trying to express my poignancy in your imbued-with-happiness-of-foods blog. Anyway, thanks for giving me a chance to extirpate the despondency lingered in me.
In fact, your blog never failed to soothe my sadness. =)
Stay cheerful and EAT MORE x]
Do visit KL again, there’s one near my house too. =)

Chingy : The following day, we went to Ipoh. This happened before our Ipoh trip. ;)
Hung Wei : Yes, it is.
Mama Bok : You can barely buy them these days.
Stephanie : Thanks for the compliments.
KLJS : Ipoh’s better. Haha! But beggars can’t be chosers.
Emily : You crazy little girl. 7 days a week? Gosh… You don’t have to try all what, some of them are just yucks. Heh! The one near your house? Is it the same franchise? Because that day when I was in Section 14, the Old Town I went was not the same Old Town.
Chan Ho Nam : Huh?
Kim Fei : Yes, it’s a luxury these days as we are all working now.
Tze Shan : You never join me yet. :P
Meatball : How different are they? Maybe its time for a trip to KL again?
Xin : Actually, they don’t. Some of the branches taste like craps, while some are better. It also boils down to the boss whether he wants to cut cost by using lesser materials/ingredients or not.
Philip : Must be the cups that reminded you of your grandfather. May he rest in peace.
Neo : Haha! I don’t sweat that easily, but I don’t like hot drinks.

nice one. Yeah.. These Old Town Kopitiam shops were supposed to give you that “hometown” or “kampung” feeling in a busy city… good place to reminisce… superb concept…. :) Brothers for life… I like that. haha..
November 25th, 2007 23:02
Mochii : Go Old Town Kopitiam and buy yourself. Ha!
KLJS : LOL. No need no need. I don’t want to get sick of Old Town. :P
Che-Cheh : Yes. Those are the times that you treasure the most when you are with your friends.
Farah : Haha. Go get them.
KSS : Another branch not to visit. Ha!
Felicia : Its not about the shop’s atmosphere though, although I am quite amazed that you relate that to that. Heh! Yes, brothers for life. :)

Try Kopi Street in Kepong nearby Carrefour. It’s even better and bigger glass for cold drinks.
