Souvenirs

The night before I came to KL, I was on MSN with May Gin.

“I will let you know tomorrow if I have the time to meet you up or not.”

“Cannot! You must find a way to meet me. I purposely baked chocolate chip cookies even though I was dead tired last night.”

“……”

Hence, May Gin showed up looking for me when I was having my dinner with Mei Mei Sook Ying and Sis JiNz at Sushi Groove the other day.

She handed me a small tupperware of chocolate chip cookies and a key chain which she bought for me when she was in Sabah. The cookies were absolutely delicious, albeit a little sweet. Not to mention, very crunchy too!

May Gin, can I have some vanilla flavoured muffins the next time? -puppy eyes-

This woman can really do wonders in the kitchen and she’s only 23!

On another note, Mei Mei also gave me some souvenirs too!

A deck of cards that has Beijing’s sceneries on it, which I don’t think I want to use it. A box(?) of sugar free sweets that have weird flavours like pink lemonade, apple, tangerine and watermelon. A sand hourglass, a strawberry hand phone accessory and a USB pen drive with her university logo on it, particularly the Northern Arizona University.

Thinking that there would be some files inside the pen drive for me, I casually plugged the pen drive into my notebook only to realize it was empty inside. It didn’t matter as I thought I have another pen drive for myself. I unplugged the pen drive and turned it around only to see the wordings of “64MB”.

Speechless. I was stunned for like 3 seconds, wondering what am I going to do with a 64MB pen drive. What can you do with a 64MB pen drive nowadays? I can’t even store anything (literally) inside.

Behind the plastic holder, there was a message and it’s the only reason I am keeping it. -shrugs-

Thanks anyway, girls! Appreciate it a lot.

Back in my time we only got floppy disks - yeah those archaic big flimsy thing and then the 1.44MB smaller disk. DTP was laborious! Oh BTW, if possible - do try to improve your writing in your blog as some publishing people are reading and reviewing your abilities (ahem!). Don’t ask. I will deny any knowledge whatsoever…lol!
