Emil Chau @ WaKin Live In Malaysia
The last time Emil Chau / Wa Kin was in Malaysia for his very own concert was roughly 4 to 5 years ago. At that time, I couldn’t make it to his concert because I don’t have any extra cash and my parents wouldn’t sponsor me the tickets. Hence, I had to give it a go and even until today, I still feel 遗憾 (regret?) for not joining my buddies, Ah Yong and Ah Kit, to his concert.
Fast forward, Emil Chau is back in Malaysia for another concert to mark his 20th year in the music industry. With my current financial status, I have no reason for not attending his concert anymore. After much discussion and arguments with Ah Yong and Ah Kit, we bought the tickets.
Venue : Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil
Time : 8pm
Date : July 14, 2007
Ticket Price : RM223
20 years or 2 decades, that’s long enough for a baby to grow into a young adult and yet, he’s still producing albums and performing in the music industry. How many artists out there have such achievement or are still in the industry after so many years? Not many, in fact, only a handful of them.
In such competitive world where a new artist can be forgotten in a blink of an eye or after 1 album, it’s really not easy to stay put and stand strong. He only uses his vocal to make a name for himself, compared to others who ventured into singing, acting, show hosting and etc yet not able to make it big. He has produced more than 30 albums, including Mandarin, Cantonese and English in 20 years. Isn’t that a marvelous report card?
Most importantly, he’s my idol after all these years. He may be old, his songs may not be funky or pop, he may not have the handsome or sissy / gay look, he may not dance, he may not be able to play more than 7 instruments, he may not be able to rap, still he’s one heck of a singer and 20 years of achievements and experiences have proven it.

Hahah been to his mini-concert last year at Setia Alam, damn nice!! Too bad this time I dont think I’ll be able to go there, one of my fav singer of all time!!

This was great!!!! I like to to linsten his song but truly Emil Chow frens. RM223 is worth actually when go for ur favourite singers. Enjoy your concert there. I just stay near there.

I already watch 5 times concert from different singer come frm Taiwan n Hong Kong in M’sia ( indoor n outdoor stadium ) This time is my first time to c Wakin concert, i can say Wonderful. Wakin sung wonderful song w/ his voice and they have a beautiful stage and light effect. Next concert Wakin come again in indoor stadium, sure i join again.
