Crepes And Chicken Rice
I decided to leave Malacca earlier so that I could beat the jam and reach my destination at my desired / planned time. However, the time spent at Nadeje Patisserie cafe took longer than I expected and it was almost 3.15pm when I entered the Ayer Keroh toll. I thought I would be in deep shit by the time I reach KL at 4.30pm or 5pm, but thank God, the traffic was all clear and it was definitely a good sign for me. Not to mention, I was driving my old Nissan Sunny that has been giving me problem all the time, especially during crucial time like this. In other words, I managed to deliver all the cakes at the mentioned time, although I was a little late at the SS2 and Kepong “pit stop”.
Many thanks to Timothy and Wen Qi, Cely, Khang Nee, May Gin, Emily, Egghead, Twinsmom, San San, Sook Ying, Jasmine, Zara’s Mama, Msau, Tracy, Mikel, 1+2mom, Agustu (Sorry, didn’t know you are a blogger too!) and Shiau Lin for ordering the cakes and be patience with me.
I have met most of the bloggers except first timers like May Gin and Jasmine (The one who discounted my notebook!) and Wen Qi. I actually forgot to take picture with Jasmine and Wen Qi (I dare not, Boss was with her!), but not May Gin of http://foodylicious.blogspot.com! Look at the sunshine smile!

Of course, a bigger thanks to Sook Ying’s parents and boy friend for helping me out to store the cakes at their extremely huge refrigerator while I have a lovely home cooked chicken rice dinner at her house. Not only I used their fridge and had dinner with them, but Mr. Wong also guided me all the way to SS2 from her place, on motorbike. Thank you and thank you, that’s all I can say to Sook Ying, Weng Heng (her boy friend), Mr. and Mrs. Wong. Oh, very friendly family too!
Just to refresh your memory, Sook Ying is the cute little girl who always have me in her thoughts. Damn sweet girl, seriously. She is the one who sends me not 1 but two snail mails from US too!

Mrs. Wong cooked a meal of home cooked chicken rice, something which I have longed for a long time since the “departure” of my late grandmother. How I miss home cooked food nowadays as my mum doesn’t want to cook anymore lately as there are only 3 people in the house most of the times. Anyway, Mrs. Wong prepared steamed chicken, gizzards, deep fried fish eggs, vegetables and a big, really big bowl of old cucumber soup. Most importantly, the authentic chicken rice’s chilies, not very spicy but still spicy.

The bowl of soup was nothing but huge. I think it could easily exceed the 1 liter mark. -sweat-

Fragrant chicken rice.

They say if you eat too much fish eggs, you will fail in your mathematic examinations. Myth to stop children from eating this sinfully delicious stuffs.

Chicken was rather tough / old though, but who cares, its home cooked food by Sook Ying’s mother and it’s free!

Kailan(?) in oyster sauce.

Satisfying dinner, it was!
Of course, a blogger meet up session will never be completed without a cam-whoring session, Lumix users!

looks yummy!! I miss chicken rice. I’m not a big fan of steamed chicken. I remember when I was in high school, we used to ta-pao chicken rice for lunch on Fridays. I always ate the rice and gave the chicken to my family.
teeheehee
Nothing beats home cooked food. :)

Hey, you forgot to mention another late order by me. Haha…
Thanks again for the trouble. I was not sure you’d entertain a late order, from a stranger no less. I hope I didn’t rush you too fast, you had to gobble down that fine looking chicken rice in record time. Gosh I love steamed chicken rice!
Anyway, thanks to you, I can now proudly say I’ve had some good slices of mille crepe cake! Love it! Gotta excuse my amusement, it’s my first time see. That explains the two slice order, original and cheese.
I’ll say it again, the mille crepe cakes were mighty fine! The layers were laid down like they were made by monks. Religiously intricate. The texture was like no ordinary cake. There’s always that tingling sensation as the thin layers slide apart in my mouth, lubricated by the delicious cream they rest upon. A landslide of taste and flavor I tell you.

Ok, I better stop here or risk freaking you out. Some weird food fetish huh.
Oh, and nice meeting you, mikel and jasmine.

Just one question: How many blogs do you have?
Sorry - two questions: Is it you or did someone stole your identity for the one in blogspot?
Okay - three questions: Physical-E?

Sean : What model?
Hao : Haha! Yes.
Simmy : Maybe you should learn how to prepare a meal of chicken rice too! :D
Augus : I didn’t know you are a blogger too! That’s why I left you out in the first place, sorry about that. Glad that you love the mille crepe very much! ;) Nice way of describing them too! LOL. You can describe even better than me, seriously. Nice meeting you too!
Lucifier : Search my blog archives or go back to the previous post and you can see the crepes.
Ms Pretty : Lunch time perhaps? Haha!
婷婷** : Yes, drooling indeed.
Giovoni : 1 only, which is jasonmumbles.com. The blogspot was my first blog before I moved to my own domain. I have deleted that blog and am using it to write PayPerPost and so does Physical-E. One blog is enough to keep me occupied already! Ha!
