There Are Still Good People Out There
Last Saturday, my car broke down again and it happened while I was on my way back to Tampin to service my car after 5000km. On top of that, it had to break down right in the middle of nowhere. I was smacked right in between some Malay villages where their main transportation is the motorcycle.
Long story cut short, there are still kind hearted and good people out there. They offered to jump start my car, fetch me to the nearest village to find a mechanic, call another mechanic, fix my car temporarily and let me go without paying because I only had RM10 in my wallet at that moment.
I am truly grateful that these Malay villagers were kind enough to help a stranger at that moment.
Immediately, I went to the workshop when I reached Tampin and the mechanics suspected that it could be caused by the wiring as most of the wires were either burnt, torn or short circuited. It isn’t my fault for not maintaining the car or knowing what’s the cause because I am not a mechanic and the car is 17 years old, its not going to work like a brand new car.
Exotic cars for sale, anyone? Kidding. It should be an antique actually. -lol-
The next day, which was yesterday, I dropped my camera from 4 feet high and sprained my neck. which I didn’t even know how I sprained it.
Sighs.

Ah_Mike : Yeah, they would be cursing you all the way instead of helping you and further ease the traffic.
Hao : Am planning to go back there and give them some cakes. Heh! Nope, it didn’t break.
Moopig : Yes, heart warming indeed. Always helping people, heh! Just a small gesture only.
YC : Am alright, just a little defeated by the streak of bad lucks.
MengZ : Haven’t, but I will.
Analgestic : Haha, a problematic car? :P

I’m sorry that you have to go through some rough patches lately.
Hmmm….there are a few ways to mitigate bad luck. According to your chart, you’re a Dui gua (7) and the best positions to face when eating, watching TV, working, studying, surfing the net, sleeping (horizontal position with the top of the head pointing) and everything else are SouthWest, West, NorthWest and NorthEast. This is only the basic 8 Mansions guide but it is very useful.

Get your facts right!
1. The car is 1990 model - 17 years old and you are not 17!
2. Don’t forget you are driving and we are paying the maintenance.
3. Appreciate what you have.
4. The car should be ready tomorrow ? repair bill $$ dunno yet?

Boss Lepton : It isn’t. Just that I find it I can use it, hence, I chipped it in. ;)
Giovoni : And how do I determine my directions? Haha! With a compass?
Jamie : No need lah.
Che-Cheh : Yes, it was my lucky day. My camera is still good (Thank God!) and neck, still aching.
Tien Soon : Mille crepe? Haha! I am super broke now, maybe some other alternative. Hehe! Still can use, luckily.
Pelf : Maybe. Haihz.
Dad : Even if its 17, the car is not going to perform like a brand new car either. Even if you are the one paying the maintenance, when the car breaks down, I am in the one in trouble too. It’s not just you only. I didn’t say I don’t appreciate the car either, but it doesn’t change the fact that the car does has problem every now and then.

well said Dad!!! Sorry Jason.. as parent I have to agree with your dad, you’re lucky to have a car . Even though I see you have to budget etc… you still manage to have fun and spend time and money with your friends. I’m in Canada, and I see most of my daughter’s school mates already have part time jobs at 14. Some getting up at 5 a.m to help milk cows. or in bakeries. Students here get most of the crappy jobs. Usually when they come to visit my home , we take them out and treat them .Their parents usually dont help them in college and they have to work parttime during school.
I hope you remember to thank those villagers and also repay the kind mechanic.
P.S. I hope you’re not offended by my post.

Robin : LOL. Dropping the camera has nothing to do with spraining my neck lah! Haha!
Boss Lepton : Don’t you just wish them that they never ever found your blog?
Keona : No, I am not offended. :)
I truly appreciate the car and that my parents are paying the maintenance fee of the car. I am not asking for a new car or anything as well. It’s just that the car is really old for its age and its really unavoidable when it breaks down or requires some repairs every now and then. Sometimes, they just have to say it as if the car breaks down is because of me for not maintaining the car. I do pour battery water, pump the tyre or add water every now and then (Not very often though. LOL.).
I will be passing by the town again after I collect my car and on the way back. Hopefully I manage to find the mechanic and buy him a pack of cigerattes or something.

Any magnetic western compass will do as it is a basic formula. There are more advance luo pan formulas that go beyond the 8 primary directions to the 24 mountain formations and then to the 64 hexagrams of the yi-jing that are for advanced learners. It may seem frivolous that you can quantify luck but Life Reading (ba zi/zi wei dou shu) and Feng Shui has survive many book burning upheavals and wars throughout the centuries and were nearly eliminated during the Cultural Revolution but still they survived and are practiced by the Chinese diaspora.
It may even explain compatibility and human relationship issues and by knowing them, prickly situations can be avoided and amended…
