Flowers
First, Happy Valentine’s Day!
I was about to start burning out my 7.86GB of pictures taken over the last two years when I realized that my photos are getting better and better since I bought my own digital camera - Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30, compare to those days when I was still using the Sony Cybershot U-20 2.0MP and my dad’s Canon Ixus-i 4.0MP digital cameras.
Nothing spectacular or something to shout about compare to photos taken by photographers like Jason a.k.a smashpOp, let it be. I am satisfied with my progress / improvement.

I didn’t notice the reflection / flare until I loaded the photos.
Everyone wants a dSLR nowadays for their own reasons. A good camera will definitely help in your photography. However, if you don’t know how to maximize the potential of the camera, it is just another digital camera in your hands. Get to know your camera, practice, practice and practice, that’s the advice the professional photographers gave me when I joined their photo shootout.
I will get myself a dSLR sometime down the road, but not now, as I don’t see the point yet. Maybe it will come in handy when I turn my part time reporting job to a full time one.

I like the 3rd pic, the pink lily.
For the fact that you never (yet) touch up your shots with Photoshop, constant improvements are significant in your batches of pics.
To people who are fond of Photoshop touch-ups, I’m sure the pink lily can be very nice.

Em…. not bad. Nice pic!!! But there still got some support lens (optional add in) that can make ur picture more nice.
1) If u go for capture river, sea and clouds (use ND filter). It help to decrease the light reflection and image color will smoother and clearer. It cost RM 200++ if not I forget.
2) If u go for capture still object, insects, flowers or even potrait (use close up lens). It help to contrast more on the object. It cost RM 200++
3) Buy another External Flash light and it was very helpful when u go for capture event pics like wedding dinner and indoors to solve the low light environment. Low light will coz ur battery end up fast due to using ur camera flash light and even affect ur capture speed.
Try not to set high ISO (around 200-400 is enough) to ur camera when u r capturing picture coz it make ur picture noisy although it got mega OIS. This was FZ series weakness compare to Canon and Nikon. Thiers ISO is more better even using ISO 1600. u can go to view the comparison at http://www.dpreview.com.
Try to use tripod to capture image as well.
Don’t always use Auto, recommend to use [P] with manual focus, [m] and [A]. [S] (shuttle mode) was sucks and it was aslo one of FZ series weakness coz it make all the picture very noisy as it force you to use high ISO. Scene also not bad especailly the Candle light shot and food shot!!!
The solve the noisy picture use photoshop to reduce the noise. haiz…..we using the same Camera.

Bryan : Can can can!
Klangboy : Finally, you are back into the cyber world. Thanks for the encouragement.
Cely : You should be looking at leng zhai’s pic, not leng lui.
Kai Hong : LOL. Not so soon, maybe 2-3 years later lah! Haha!
Tien Soon : Wahaha, that is so flattering.
Fattien : I tried looking for external flash, but the Panasonic’s cost RM600+ and I can’t find other substitute, not even in Singapore. As for other add ons and accessories, I don’t need it as I bought this camera not really for photograph but for work. I too know the problems this FZ30 brings, such as the high ISO problem. Thanks for the advice still.
Mspretty : Valentine’s Day supposed to be roses ler, not lilies or hibiscus. Haha! But, since you say so, it’s for my readers too!
FireHorse : Thanks, auntie! Hope you have a fun day today too!
Che-Cheh : There’s no win-win situation in this, right?

It’s like chicken and egg. To get a good pic, can’t just rely on the camera. The photographer has to be good too. But without a good camera also can’t do the job. *haiz

Hijackqueen : Yeah, you need a good camera but you don’t need a super good camera to do the same job. A decent one will do. Hehe. Even camera phones can produce good pictures, but there’s only a handful of them that can do so.
Earthtone : Ahhh… Will try, but landscape is not something that I normally shoot also.
MengZ : Yeah yeah. ;)
Ellone : Ok!
Denzuko : Long time more. :P Unless suddenly I got extra money or I change my mind due to itchy finger. :P
