Where Did The Fishes Go?

January 31st, 2007, Jason

Taking a break from my studies, I was looking for a batch of food photos to update my blog and food category.

As odd as it sounds, I actually lost a batch of food photos. It’s not in my memory card or my hard disk or my pen drive. I wonder where has it been to. I don’t remember accidentally deleting them either.

My dad, sister and I went to this restaurant in Melaka Raya to have lunch. It’s called The Fish Shop (Or was it “Simply Fish”?), something like the franchised Manhattan Fish Market, serves a variety of fish dishes and other seafoods. It may not be as delicious as MFM, but for the price, I would say its reasonable.

Oh well, since the photos are nowhere to be found, no point writing the post anymore. Looks like I am going to fork out my own money to visit the shop again.

Back to my books!

什么是分享?

January 29th, 2007, Jason

什么是分享? What is “sharing”?

分享就是… “Sharing” is…

谢啦, 小女孩! Thanks, girl!

P/S : 那是最爱的海芋。That’s Nee’s favourite calla lilies.

Results were released few days back and I got a pass (programing) and a fail (electronics). Am going to prepare for supplementary papers now, after the usual parents-son-studies dispute confrontation whatever. -sighs-

KL Trip #6

January 25th, 2007, Jason

As mentioned previously, I was in KL for the past three days. Going KL isn’t as fun as it used to be anymore because there are no more bloggers that I really love to meet. Furthermore, I was in KL during weekdays and weekdays are definitely not a good time to hang out with friends as most of my friends in KL are working adults. Anyway, a million thanks to those who managed to meet up and spend some time with me, especially for the one who took MC just to accompany me.

The feat of delivering 14kg of Mille Crepe was way smoother than I thought. I managed to reach all destination at the planned time, except for Shiau Lin as we didn’t head to Cheras after Seri Kembangan. Not to mention, everybody arrived just on time and I didn’t have to wait very long for them to collect the cakes. Well done everybody and I would like to say thank you for ordering the cakes even though I have charged an extra RM1.50 per slice and RM15 per cake. I hope you all love the cake as much as I do.

I went to pick up the cakes (in three big ice boxes) at 4PM and everything went smoothly until I reached Alor Gajah when Amos called me to tell me he forgot to put another two cakes into the ice box. Hence, missing out Boss Stewie’s and my sister’s orders. Luckily, Boss Stewie decided not to fire me. Heh! I picked up my best and evil friends and headed out to Sri Kembangan to meet up with Msau and Tracy, followed by Jalan Gasing, SS17 and SS2 to meet up with Twinsmom, my sister, Emily, 1+2mom, Sebastian’s mommy, Joan a.k.a Food Lover. Finally, it was Kepong’s Egghead, Suzette, Loc Kee, Milly and Cely. Nice to meet you, Tracy and Sebastian’s mommy. Perhaps we will meet again where we can really sit down for a cup of coffee. Msau and Tracy offered me to have dinner with them and 1+2mom offered to treat me a lunch at Nasi Kayu Kandar on the second day but I had to turn them down as delivering the cakes on time was a higher priority. Thank you so much!

It was nearly 10PM when we finished delivering the cakes and had dinner at Tak Food Restaurant. I had it before but not for my buddies. The bill came up to RM85 with 1kg of meat crabs and deep fried soft shell crabs with meat floss. Yummy.

Second day was the main reason why I was in KL.

For the first time, my camera didn’t get to tag along and no, am not blogging about it.

Third day was my hang out day with some friends. I picked Cely up at Sentul Timur LRT station and we headed for the famous chili pan mee 辣椒板面 at Restaurant Kin Kin. Click here for direction. God know where is the place as it was my first time driving to that area, Chow Kit area to be exact.

What made them so nice is their dried chili flakes, which is really awesome and just the right amount of spiciness. Put too much and there goes your pan mee. Three spoons were just nice for my taste buds though.

You are given a half boiled egg to go along with the pan mee, put some chili flakes and mix them up. The look is definitely not appetizing but taste really nice. I wanted to order another bowl but called it off to save my tummy for other foods. The chilies made their presence when I was in the toilet later in the evening. Spanking hot! Really! I could feel the “heat”. -lol- I didn’t like their pork meat balls though, the pork’s taste was simply too strong.

After that, we went to have a ride at Eye On Malaysia. Freaking RM15 for a 10 to 12 minutes ride, that’s like RM1 per minute. I felt cheated anyway, but since I can’t afford to go Japan’s or London’s, I got to be satisfied with it. They kept playing the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 theme song again and again until Cely was humming when she stepped out of the cabin. It was annoying, very annoying. Night time is the best time to visit the wheel, but it will be super crowded as everybody wants to see the night view of KL city. The weather was nice albeit a little hot. The sky was blue-ish, lovely pictures.

Since we have no other places to go, we decided to find Earl Ku for lunch at Cheras. We had lunch at Quan Ice Cream & Coffee House, where the food tasted so-so only. They over cooked my beef. -shrugs- I enjoyed the iced jasmine green tea though. I finished it in less than five minutes and had to order another glass.

I dropped Earl Ku off at his working place and Cely at Pudu Jail Hang Tuah monorail LRT station before heading to The Curve to meet up with sis JiNz. As usual, sis wanted to fly my kite again as our initial plan was to have dinner together. After some complicated events, I ended up joining sis and her friends instead. -sweat- We had drinks at Kim Gary (I think the food sucks badly.) followed by Starbucks, plus a little bit of shopping. Not me, sis bought a pair of jeans while I was staring myself at the reflective glasses / showcase cabinet due to boredom waiting for sis to shop the watches inside the cabinet were really pretty.

Meet Lalat and Aw Yong. They are sis’s hometown good friends.

Adjourned to Starbucks and not long after that where SSing joined us.

SSing : “You look very cute leh!”

Jason : “Har?”

Ssing : “Really!”

Jason : “……” -blushed-

Only sis knows what she has done to her hair, it’s so ugly. I mean, the colour not the hairstyle. Short hair looks nice on her, but not the red, blond, brown, purple and black colour hairs. I know you guys miss her as well, so, more pictures of JiNz. Ha! I offered her to treat her at Marche as her birthday present, but she didn’t want to because she felt sorry for my wallet. Too bad!

Note : Looking at the above pic, I think I need to get a new pair of specs. The frame is getting out of shape already. The glasses are chipped but I was just damn poor to change them.

Bid farewell to sis around 4.30PM due to bad weather, which later turned out to be a false alarm. Ass! I drove to Twinsmom’s place to collect my tumpang-ed cake and Twinsmom gave me some dumplings. With the cakes, I went to Ah Nee’s office and had some small talk before I drove back to Kajang and subsequently Tampin.

Basically, that was my sixth KL trip, which wasn’t really fruitful (in terms of fun and food) as I was there on weekdays. Nonetheless, I came to KL mainly for my second day only. Other than that, it was just out of the blue. Thanks to everyone who took their time to meet up with me.

Come Back In A While

January 25th, 2007, Jason

I was in KL for the past 3 days. I will update this post again once I am done with my works, studies and of course, rests.

Until then, be patience. Nope, not many photos this time.

Don’t bother asking for password, k? Sorry. I am not giving out passwords to anyone this time. I just want to jot things down for myself.

10:27am, updating blog… Come back in 1 hour time.
