“Slaughtering” Crabs Of Seremban

My dad, sister Jamie and I went to Seremban to attend a dinner on behalf of my mum. Since my mum wasn’t with us, we decided to head down to Seremban town to try out their crabs dishes. Crab dishes are quite popular in Seremban, other than their “Siew Pau 烧包” and beef noodles.

No thanks to my dad who mistaken this shop for the more famous one, which is just further down the road, we were slaughtered for that 2kg of crabs. 2.250kg of crabs for RM81, that’s like RM36 per kilogram. Mind you, you could easily get RM18 to RM26 for 1kg of crabs in KL. Even though the food tasted not too bad, I strongly advised that you avoid this shop.

We ordered a plate of fried glass noodle (RM12). There were 3-4 prawns inside and it tasted a little sweet. Too much sweet sauce, I guess. But, it tasted not too bad.

I ordered 1kg of marmite crab. This one tasted really good, but the crabs were not “fat” enough. The crabs must have been on diet for quite some time. The sauce tasted like marmite (Duh!), and tasted sweet and salty at the same time.

The crabs were served together with a plate of chili sauce. The chili sauce tasted somewhat like chicken rice’s chili sauce. Sourish and appetizing, it went well with the sweet and salty crab meat.

Dad also ordered another 1kg of salted crab (盐锔蟹). They “wrapped” the crabs with rock salt (粗盐) and then deep fried it. Salty no doubt, but still edible since you would be eating the meat only. In fact, I could taste the crab meats’ sweetness. However, this dish totally spoiled the whole supper. They over deep fried the crabs, causing the meat to stick to the shell, making it superbly difficult to eat. The crabs were skinny as well.

-munch munch-

The bill came up to RM92+, if not mistaken. You should looked at my dad’s face when the bill came; totally stoned. I was also shocked since I was expecting the bill to come around RM70+. That’s one hell of a meal, and top it up with a few RM10, I could have a better meal at Pantai Seafood Village.

Ended up me paying RM50 for the meal as well.

My F-117 is parked between some coconut trees, stolen from the US Air Force in 2002 and their CIA, NSA, FBI, BBQ, KFC, MCD and everything were trying to recover this back and yet couldn’t find it, not a clue.

You think you can ?? Hmm ?? Hmm ??

Let’s just focus on what crabs to eat next, shall we ?

    *cough*

BengBeng : Haha, well, can’t help but putting the pic up, ya know. Yeah, its messy and troublesome, but the moment your tongue tasted the sweetness of the fresh crabs, its worth all the troubles.
