A Famosa International Cat Show 2006

November 30th, 2006, Jason

I was assigned to cover the A Famosa International Cat Show 2006 last weekend. It was something new for me and an eye opener. These cats are living better than human. Their cages come with sofa, little fans, silk blankets, and the food they eat cost more than my dinner. Don’t you feel pity about yourself? -lol-

Yukiko Hayata, one of the judges from Japan.

This cat has no fur. Really!

This cat, Lee Simon, weighs 7.8kg and is currently #1 in Asia and Latin America category. Mind you, this cat might have travel Asia more than anyone of us. He has been to Beijing, Thailand, Philippines, Shanghai and a few more, not to mention, around Malaysia too.

Best kitten, Cat Party Love Lesson from Thailand. It’s a Persian cat, by the way.

Malacca Town

November 28th, 2006, Jason

Some friends from the east coast came to Malacca for an 1-day trip. It was supposed to be my best chance to tour around Malacca town as a tourist, and also take the opportunity to write a detailed / comprehensive guide on how to spend your day in Malacca, including food and sight seeings. It will definitely benefit a lot of people out there especially when the holidays are around the corner.

However, I forgot to charge both of my batteries and barely 50 shots, my batteries were flat. -sweat-

Sorry guys.

P/S : Tien Soon, interested in being a tourist with me during one of the weekends? I am sure it will benefit your another blog too.

Not only girls with shinny, dark and silky long hair are pretty, because girls with short hair can too.

A very good example, Jinlan, who cut her very long hair into this…

No thanks to those advertisements, girls with long hair are so common nowadays until girls with short hair are rare species. It’s just a matter of time other people and you get used to see yourself in short hair. People dislikes changes, right?

“Slaughtering” Crabs Of Seremban

November 24th, 2006, Jason

My dad, sister Jamie and I went to Seremban to attend a dinner on behalf of my mum. Since my mum wasn’t with us, we decided to head down to Seremban town to try out their crabs dishes. Crab dishes are quite popular in Seremban, other than their “Siew Pau 烧包” and beef noodles.

No thanks to my dad who mistaken this shop for the more famous one, which is just further down the road, we were slaughtered for that 2kg of crabs. 2.250kg of crabs for RM81, that’s like RM36 per kilogram. Mind you, you could easily get RM18 to RM26 for 1kg of crabs in KL. Even though the food tasted not too bad, I strongly advised that you avoid this shop.

We ordered a plate of fried glass noodle (RM12). There were 3-4 prawns inside and it tasted a little sweet. Too much sweet sauce, I guess. But, it tasted not too bad.

I ordered 1kg of marmite crab. This one tasted really good, but the crabs were not “fat” enough. The crabs must have been on diet for quite some time. The sauce tasted like marmite (Duh!), and tasted sweet and salty at the same time.

The crabs were served together with a plate of chili sauce. The chili sauce tasted somewhat like chicken rice’s chili sauce. Sourish and appetizing, it went well with the sweet and salty crab meat.

Dad also ordered another 1kg of salted crab (盐锔蟹). They “wrapped” the crabs with rock salt (粗盐) and then deep fried it. Salty no doubt, but still edible since you would be eating the meat only. In fact, I could taste the crab meats’ sweetness. However, this dish totally spoiled the whole supper. They over deep fried the crabs, causing the meat to stick to the shell, making it superbly difficult to eat. The crabs were skinny as well.

-munch munch-

The bill came up to RM92+, if not mistaken. You should looked at my dad’s face when the bill came; totally stoned. I was also shocked since I was expecting the bill to come around RM70+. That’s one hell of a meal, and top it up with a few RM10, I could have a better meal at Pantai Seafood Village.

Ended up me paying RM50 for the meal as well.

Gunned Down!

November 22nd, 2006, Jason

My last visit to the clinic was nearly 18 months ago. Although in between I was sick 2-3 times, but I would be fine the next day but not this time. Besides, it’s not a trend to see doctor whenever we fall sick, we would just go to our dad (who works in a hospital) and our dad would give us some medicine.

However, yours truly been gunned down with flu, fever, sore throat and terrible cough since Sunday night. I couldn’t take it anymore and decided to go see doctor after 2 days.

Since when cough syrup became so “commercialized”? Where’s the transparent plastic bottle with markings on one side?

1 for antibiotic, 1 for flu, 1 for fever and 1 cup of syrup for sore throat / cough (not inside).

RM30 for that 5 minutes diagnose. I could have 3 days of lunch and dinner with that RM30. Damn!
