Unofficial Mille Crepe Commercial Ad (Own Made)

I have just completed my assignment for ECP 3086 Multimedia Technology And Application. It is a subject where we learn about multimedia such as text, audio, video, HTML, compression, conversion and etc. Our assignment required us to shoot a 3 to 5 minutes advertisement based on a product or service.

We chose Nadeje Patisserie’s Mille Crepe as our product. Surprise? I hope not. -lol-

Compare to my other coursemates’ advertisements, I would say ours looked quite plain and lousy as ours didn’t contain any special effect. What special effects can you apply on a food product anyway?

However, with only our group doing food subject, and with such mouth watering product, I am sure, it will be something different. Furthermore, I picked the earliest presentation time slot so that our lecturers won’t compare ours with others and give us an disadvantage. -grins-

Special thanks to Cely who helped me with the CD cover’s design.

I present you Nadeje Patisserie’s first unofficial advertisement. -lol-

I know it sucks.

Should have ask Elaine to do our assignment. Ha!

pretty alright over all.. but the first few seconds when you show the interior very ‘luan’ lah. Too fast, too many things, make me dizzy. Perhaps can slow down a bit?

No offence but the narrator’s voice is a little too boring and it’s not very clear. Try speaking slower and clearer.

Hope that helps. Good luck! =)

ErRRr… Personally, I think the song is a bit not matching. Don’t get angry ya. Heheh…

Moopig : Must be the shaky hands and the inconsistent speed. I was the one who suggested to fasten the pace because I am afraid that people might get too bored looking at the surrounding if I drag it for too long.

I will talk to my groupmate see whether he wants to edit/slow it down or not. Is it?

Hmm… I neglected that part. It was a requirement to include our voices inside and I didn’t really pay attention on this part. I will try to re-do it tomorrow, if possible. Friday is our due date. :D

    Thanks.

Bryan : Not angry lah, but can you suggest a song for us?

I find the rythm of background song ok
While introducing the interior of the shop, I find the pace all right; BUT, you keep on rotating of course people will dizzy la :p Usually people will use a wide angle view at first, and then slowly zoom in to a tele mode on a particular interesting object, instead of rotating 360 degrees hehe. You not dizzy ‘cos you already know what to expect from the video scene, but people viewing the video will find it a little bit uncomfortableThe narrator doesn’t sound excited at all. It’s like reading from a book, instead of sounding like sharing an excited experience. The voice shouldn’t be monotone all the time; try to have varying pitch to express different feel.

Twinsmom : Haha, don’t have advertising fee ler. If got, they owe me and my blog quite a lot already loh. LOL. Yakah? Which part of the voices, the front, Amos’s voice or the ending? Hehe.

Tien Soon : We are not using professional video camera, we were using a don’t-know-how-many-megapixel DV cam only leh. And 2 n00bs handling the DV cam weren’t helping also. As for the voice, I kinda agree too but lazy to redo it. Ha!

Cely : Nevermind, its good enough. ;) Thanks!

Autumnmusic : I know disappearing skill de mah, just like those ninja. :P Hmm… The screen freeze is not my fault, is the DV cam’s fault. I am discussing with my groupmates see whether they want to re-record their voices or not.

Boss Stewie : I remember talking about you few times ler. Haha! Why would I feature myself in my own blog? :P

Jesslyn : Sentimental song sounds a bit boring as well. Heh! Some part didn’t use tripod, that’s why shake here shake there. You lousy lah, come Malacca few times also haven’t try.

Should have used a tripod lah. And that shot of someone spinning the cake is really funny. Zoom in a bit lah, so you won’t see the hands spinning the cake. :)

sorry to say this lah, friend but it seriously made me laughed the whole time and thats not a good thing since its a food ad. food ads are suppose to be…how to say…err…like make me wanna go there and have one myself. this one ar, it makes me wanna go there and say, “my friend made this really funny ad about this restaurant before. serious leh. damn funny.” while pointing out them to my friend. have you made your own food ad research before you actually made them yourself? like watch those food ads in TV for ideas? oh oh. if the narrator is a lady then sure no problem one. why never get a lady to do the narration? then again, this one assignment only right? dunno why i comment so serious like that. don’t whack me ar. its just a silly comment. peace.

Earl Ku : His name is Amos Chong lah. -.-lll And his voice was dubbed by me. *sobs sobs* Yeah, I know it sucks but I still have to do it for the sake of our assignment. Don’t lah rub it in lagi.

Uncle James : Front part we didn’t use tripod cause we have to move around. Others are shot with tripod. Hehe. Yaloh, I was giggling myself when I was shooting that part. But what to do, n00bs mah! -lol-

Lee C.S. : We where got spot light woh. -.-ll

    Cheng Sim : -speechless-

The voice, no effect at all, just the same tone…. Try to be more “curvy” in the speech… Btw are u using Windows Movie Maker? I think can improve more if someone knows how to “play” with WMM, it can produce high quality videos if worked correctly.

Stil got time to do any adjustments?

Definitely need to change the voice. You’re promoting a dessert place, you’ll need a voice that sounds..well, hate to say it, more lusty yet classy. Try using a female voice instead. Not the high squeeky ones..more of a matured female voice..but not like pasar aunty voice..LOL!

You guys should try to make the food appealing to the audience. Your focus should be the food not the surrounding. After all it is the food that makes ppl want to know more about the place. Too bad you’ve shown us this late..or else can re-shoot it.

    Song suggestion: Canon in D

CLF : We didn’t use Windows Movie Maker. Nope, no more time. Sighs.

Milly : Hand shake mah because we didn’t use tripod. We didn’t use tripod because we have to move around mah.

Vien : There’s a reason why we didn’t opt for a female voice and that’s because 1 of the requirement is to record our own voice inside. We are trying to focus on the whole shop, not just only the food; and also we need it to be more than 2 minutes.

MengZ : Yalah, I swear this will be my first and last ad. Haihz. I wanted to ask Elaine to help me one. :P

Nobody will call you dumb if you keep your mouth shut tau. If your 15 minutes movie is worse than my ads, whats the point of you taking mass communication then? I am an engineering student.
