KL Trip #5 - Day 3
Click on the links to read my KL Trip #5 - Day 1 and Day 2 (Bloggers’ Gathering at Burger King, KLCC.).
Joan was supposed to wake me up at 6AM, but she didn’t. We overslept and woke up at 6.45AM instead. It was very difficult to get up at 6AM since both of us (Mikel and I) slept at 3AM. We quickly bath ourselves and rushed to Pandan Indah LRT station at 7AM, as we were to meet Boss Stewie, Boss Lepton and Joan at Kelana Jaya LRT station at 7.30AM.

We reached Kelana Jaya LRT station at 8:10AM, 40 minutes later than our agreed time. The trio were waiting for us at the car park already. We proceeded with our plan, to have “Bak Kut Teh” for breakfast at a very rural area.

Introducing the “Bak Kut Teh” breakfast team.
Boss Stewie a.k.a Timothy…

Boss Lepton a.k.a Wilson…

Joan a.k.a Food Lover…

Mikel a.k.a Louyau a.k.a Splashmilk…

And myself.

Chinese tea is the best beverage to go along with “Bak Kut Teh”, no doubt. It clears the oiliness in your stomach and acts like “ENO” after a heavy breakfast. In fact, washing your hands with chinese tea will clear away the smell of anything you ate.

According to Boss Stewie, this shop serves the best “Fu Zhuk” (beancurd skin) in the whole world. I got to agree with him. The “Fu Zhuk” has this sweetness in it that other “Fu Zhuk” doesn’t have. Furthermore, it has this chewy texture, which has absorbed all the “Bak Kut Teh”’s flavour, giving you one of the best “Fu Zhuk” around. It is so good that Boss Stewie only ate their “Fu Zhuk” but not the meat.

Their “Bak Kut Teh” didn’t taste as good as the one I ate in Subang the other day though. The soup doesn’t have enough flavouring, and the meat was not tender enough. However, it’s still better than the one I had in Malacca though.

On the table, there were 3 pots of “Fu Zhuk” (2 in “Bak Kut Teh” soup and 1 in curry sauce.) and 1 pot of “Bak Kut Teh”. Without us complaining, our “Bak Kut Teh” breakfast became “Fu Zhuk Teh” breakfast and it was all Boss Stewie’s fault. I want my refund!

In less than 40 minutes, we annihilated all 4 pots. (The boss took 1 pot away already.)

Then it was the bloggers’ ritual - cam whoring.

We left the place and we bidded farewell with everyone, promising to each other that we will meet up again in near future for another round of “Bak Kut Fu Zhuk Teh”. Boss Stewie dropped us at Masjid Jamek LRT station and we sat back to Pandan Indah LRT station.
It was time to get some help from my fellow friends / bloggers to fix my car. I SMS-ed Earl Ku, but Earl Ku couldn’t find any mechanics that open on Sunday. I SMS-ed Kai Hong and he said he would come all the way from Bandar Utama to Cheras in no time to help me out.

We waited anxiously.

5 minutes…
10 minutes…
20 minutes…
30 minutes…
40 minutes…
50 minutes later, our saviour appeared!

Kai Hong brought a mechanic named Ah Yaw (012-2891250 / 019-3844099) from Xing Long Tyre And Auto Services, Taman Lembah Maju, that opens on Sunday to the LRT station and fixed a new battery for me. He even changed the few rusty wires for free.

My car is alived again! After borrowing RM100 from Mikel and RM50 from Kai Hong to pay the mechanics, I went back to Mikel’s apartment and started to pack my stuffs to drive back home. By the time I reached Tampin, it was 2PM.
That was my weekend in KL. Fun, enjoying, happy but with some bad luck, desperate and pissed moments.
I would like to thank…
1) Mikel for putting me up at his place.
2) Mikel for borrowing me some cash.
3) Joan friend’s, Saw Cheng for charging my phone when my phone battery was dead.
4) Joan for being the only “makan kaki” in this trip.
5) Boss Stewie and Boss Lepton for waiting for us even though we were late for 40 minutes.
6) Kai Hong for introducing us to his friend’s shop for a good deal for my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-30.
7) Kai Hong for the “Bak Kut Teh” dinner at Subang.
8) Kai Hong for coming all the way to Cheras to help me when my car broke down.
Without you guys, this trip would be another impossible. Thanks!
