KL Trip #5 - Day 2
Click here to read about my day 1 of 5th KL Trip.
I reached KLCC at 12 noon, 3 hours before the KLCC gathering that everyone was excited about. Milly, Mr. Kiasi, Juliana and I agreed to catch up with each other after not seeing each other for quite some time. They have their own reasons for not coming to the gathering. Hence, we met at the Signature Food Court.

We have met each other before, a few times in fact. It was more like a “yam cha” session for us rather than meet-the-bloggers gathering. Our topic of conversations mainly revolves around academic stuffs since 3 of them are study freaks. The ladies were even nagging me as if they were my mum. It was lunch time and I had “Kyros Kebab”, which tasted not too bad except the “skin” was a little tough to chew on. Milly had seafood “Tom Yam” from Shoku , while Juliana and Mr. Kiasi both had a set meal from Tepanyaki.

Juliana’s and my N70s. A picture of our foot before we left the place.

We chatted until 2.30PM when Food Lover a.k.a Joan called me, we bided farewell. I waited for a while and Joan showed up. She is short, shorter than JiNz in fact. Her voice is a bit deep for girls too. However, she is a really lively and friendly girl. Furthermore, she loves to eat, a plus for me.

3PM, the KLCC Bloggers Gathering officially started. Hence, this part onwards will be an all picture only post.

There were a lot more bloggers who attended the gathering, but I didn’t take their photos. These are some of the group photos, candid shots and random shots that I took with my camera.

To view other bloggers’ posts / photos (Pictures like the PussyCatBloggers, horny men, 3/5 of the digital cameras and etc.) of the gathering, hop over to Yee Hou’s blog for a complete list of updated blogs on the gathering.
KLCC’s Burger King was indeed a better choice than Mid Valley’s Dome. It was fun, in fact, more fun than the previous gathering. It could be because blogs that I always read like Boss Stewie, Boss Lepton and Joan were there. It didn’t take very long for us to get comfortable with each other.
“Blogs that I always read like Jason’s… You know, it’s like I know him in person already even before I meet him. We don’t have to talk stuffs like where you study, what you working as and etc.” - Boss Stewie.
The gathering ended around 6PM and the remaining bloggers proceeded to Little Penang, suggestion from Joan, for second round. I ordered a glass of soya bean with red bean and a plate of curry prawn with white rice. The soya bean tasted so-so only, and they only gave 2 pathetic prawns. Even the road side hawker stall that sells “Char Kuey Teow” gives more prawn than them. It was not worth the money at all.

Joan’s 5 spices chicken tasted good though, but I don’t understand why they include a plate of sambal belacan with petai. The tastes of both dishes doesn’t go along as the spicyness would cover the tastes of the chicken.

Little Penang’s food tasted better than I have expected. It’s worth trying out actually, but, to me, why shoud I pay 5 times more than the price offered by road side stalls who serve better food than Little Penang? Not to forget, 2 prawns for a set meal of curry prawns.

Feeling unsatisfied, I persuaded Joan to leave the gang early so that we could proceed to SS2 for another round. In fact, we have agreed to have dinner together on MSN even before we met at the gathering. There’s a plushie in Joan’s brother’s car. Hmmm…

We reached SS2 Murni and ordered their famous mango fruit punch and claypot “Lou Shu Fan 老鼠粉”. Nothing special about the mango fruit punch, but the claypot “Lou Shu Fan 老鼠粉” was simply awesome. Lots of minced meat, raw egg on top for you to mix them up before you eat, dark soya sauce for the taste and a little burnt smell to give you the claypot smell. It was good, really good. I wanted to order another one, but we had to leave the place due to time constrain.

At this point, my phone’s battery went dead. Hence, Joan brought me to her friend’s house to charge my phone for a short while. At least, I can be reachable through SMS. After getting in touch with Mikel a.k.a Louyau a.k.a Splashmilk, Mikel and another mutual friend of ours, X came to SS2 to pick me up.
We went to Laundry Bar at The Curve, but upon reaching, they decided to change the place to Bangsar’s Bar Flam. I ordered a glass of screwdriver (orange juice with vodka) for RM15.

I don’t go clubbing, but it was my third time to Bar Flam. It was all ok until Mikel and I decided to go out to get something to drink from 7-11.
By the time we went back to the bar, X and another friend were not at the table. We tried searching inside the bar, but they were not inside either. The worst part was that both of our phone’s battery were dead. We were totally not contactable and Mikel couldn’t remember X’s handphone number.
We rushed to the place where X parked her car, and her car was not there either. Mikel went around asking strangers to lend him their phone for a while so that he could check his SIM card for PP’s number. Out of 5 phones which Mikel managed to borrow, 4 of them couldn’t read his sim card, 1 couldn’t even operate when he switched the SIM card.
When we finally got X’s number, she didn’t pick up her phone. We were officialy stranded in Bangsar on Saturday night. How awesome was that?
Mikel called his housemate, Albert to come all the way from Pandan Indah, Cheras to Bangsar to pick us up. While waiting for them, we walked to Bangsar’s 24 hours McDonalds.

Feeling pissed, I bought the Big Mac McValue set to comfort myself. That McChicken was not mine, it was Mikel’s.

Albert reached Bangsar 30 minutes later and it was another 30 minutes drive to Pandan Indah, Cheras. I parked my car at the Pandan Indah LRT station in the morning, hence, Albert dropped us off there.
I opened the door, put my keys into the ignition hole, and turned the keys.
“……” (No sound.)
Tried again.
“……” (No sound.)
Tried again.
“……” (No sound.)
My car’s battery was officially dead. It was still fine in the morning but not 12 hours later. I didn’t know what happen because I checked everything before I drove up to KL.
I couldn’t start my car and nothing could be done. Mikel and I walked back to his apartment and it was already 3AM.

License to Queue…
It’s commonly been said that Singaporeans love to queue. This is possibly only upped by the Singaporean penchant for cutting queues. This is probably easiest to spot at any MRT station during peak hours, where one need not look too carefully to s…
