Seafood At Tanjung Harapan, Klang

2 months ago, we made an appointment with Kai Hong, to eat seafood together. Last Saturday, was the day. I came back to Tampin at 12 noon, took a bath, grabbed something to eat, sent my sister to tuition, and I drove myself to the train station.

I reached Kajang at 3PM and called Chris to pick me up for lunch, since my friends were yet to come down from Genting. We had Kajang’s “satay” for lunch and I still think, any other places’ “satay” would taste better than Kajang’s anytime. The shop we frequented tasted better than Haji something something’s though.

My friends, just came down from Genting, reached Kajang at 6PM. Each of them took a quick bath and we drove to Subang to meet up with Kai Hong. We saw his F117 in front of Sunway Pyramid and he guided us to Tanjung Harapan, Klang. After 45 minutes of driving along a very dark, creepy, long and straight road, we reached our destination - Port Village. The restaurant was packed and almost every table was occupied. I guessed there were at least 300 people inside the restaurant.

The “Fellowship Of The Crabs” team consisted of…

Andy Lau look alike team leader, Kai Hong… (The one with the watch.)

Crab snipper, Wei Hong (?)…

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Tampin’s All-Time-Heavyweight-Champion, Wen Fa… (His weight has been constantly 3 digits since Standard 6.)

75% vegetarian and 25% meat eater, Lee Hwee…

Treasurer, Chun Kit… (Yes, him again! You still don’t know who is him? -shakes head-)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Driver, Chee Yong… (Yes, him again! You still don’t know who is him? -shakes head-)

And of course, the all rounder, Jason. (I need to get a hair cut.)

While Kai Hong was ordering the food, the boss was standing next to Chee Yong.

(”What style you want?”)

Suddenly, the female boss said loudly while patting Chee Yong’s shoulder, “快点帮忙想一想啦! (”Faster help and think lah! Don’t sit down there and wait to eat only!”)

Chee Yong, “Har?! Har?! Har?!”

The rest, “哈哈哈!!!” (”Hahaha!!!”)

The enemies for the day were…

Bamboo clams cooked in “Kam Heong”

“Patin” fish steamed with smashed ginger

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

La La in herbal soup (I noticed KL people like to eat La La in herbal soup. I ate the same thing in Kepong also.)

2kg of crabs cooked in “Kam Heong”

And 1kg of crabs cooked in sweet and sour flavour (There’s one plate of vegetables, but lets skip that dish.)

After 2 hours of intense battle…

The bill came up to RM251.40, roughly about RM35 per head.

1.5 hours drive from Kajang, 2 hours drive from Tampin just to eat seafood. Of course, we have to take some pictures. Too bad, the group picture went horriblely wrong.

Everything was good. The crabs were meaty. We didn’t quite like the fish though, due to the ginger. We should have ordered steamed fish in “Teow Cheow” style (潮洲蒸) and perhaps more varieties of cooking style / flavour would be better. 2 “Kam Heong 甘香” in 1 meal, not a good choice. However, we still enjoyed the dinner to the maximum and went home with a bloated tummy. We parted ways at the highway and we reached Tampin safely at 12.30AM. That’s not even 12 hours, for me.

So, Kai Hong, where is our next destination?

Let me think of next place to go, perhaps Sekinchan ? Total 100% crabs !

Mantis prawn in I-have-forgotten-what-style = Kurang tepat.

Jawapan yang betul, murid-murid sekalian adalah,

    Mari kita belajar tentang

WTF ? My BM damn lausy liao !
