Finally…
After 2 years of working and saving…
After shedding so many bloods and tears sweats…
After mourning for 6 months when my faithful servant died on me…
After getting jealous over Ah Nee’s SE K700i for 1 whole year… -coughs coughs-
IT HAS ARRIVED!!! I REPEAT; IT HAS ARRIVED!!!
Oh! You can’t see it clearly?
Yes, it is one of the items in my wish list – Nokia N70.
Upon opening the box, she was lying there quietly, waiting for her master – me, to slowly carry her out of the box and cuddle her.
Slowly and carefully, I took her up like a cute little baby and held it in my giant hands. She fits my hand just nice, not too big, not too small, not too light and not too heavy.
Comparing with my friend’s Nokia 3310, which was loaned to me after my Nokia 6100 went to sell salty eggs, she is about the same size as my first mobile phone. Yes, my first mobile phone was a Nokia 3310, which I bought for RM450 not long after I finished my SPM in 2001; again with my own part time salary, “Ang Pau” money and savings.
Flip the phone to the back and you will see a metal casing, which is meant to protect the 2.0 mega pixel camera. (This baby has the same mega pixel as my Sony Cybershot U-20, which has been producing crappy pictures nowadays.) Did I mention this phone has 2 cameras? A 2.0 mega pixel at the back and a 0.3 mega pixel at the front.
Upon activating, you will be greeted by the Nokia welcome screen. This isn’t the normal phone you always see, it is a Symbian OS based mobile phone. It is like having a super mini Microsoft Windows in your phone, allowing you to customize your phone to the maximum. It is a very new thing to me and I have yet to fully explore or utilize its function yet. I will need some time to get use to this interface and figure how to squeeze every ounce of power it is capable of giving of.
So far, the keypad is way too small for my liking, considering my big and fat fingers. My fingertip can press 2 buttons at the same time. However, it is just a matter of time before I get used to it. My 6100 was even smaller than this, mind you.
Until now, I can only tell you that there might be video blogging or perhaps podcasting in my blog from now on. Yes, video blogging and podcasting. Hopefully, with this new gadget, I can shoot a higher quality picture than my digital camera. -sighs-

Food Lover : I bought it for RM1615 with 1 free Bak Kut Teh dinner worth RM10 from the seller. LOL. I think they have maroon red, but doesn’t matter, you can get any colours housing outside mah!

Robin : Yeap. Actually, I think it is better in terms of clearity. My Sony Cybershot example is the 1st picture in this post, very blur type. But my N70 can do better than that. But then, it can never compare to a compact digital camera lah. ;-)
