Bloggers’ Gathering, Kepong #2
I woke up at 12 noon and hurriedly got myself ready to start my journey to K.L. to attend the bloggers’ gathering held at Milwaukee Steakhouse (Again? Yes, again. No thanks to Egghead.), Kepong. I packed my stuffs and left Tampin at 2.30PM, fearing that there would be jam in the highway. But, traffic was smooth all the way and I reached Kajang at 3.30PM.
I exited at Kajang because Chris a.k.a Kampung Kai was forced by me wanted to tag along as well. We got ready and Chris offered to drive his just repaired car. Since I was hungry, I made a visit to Mc.D and got myself a “Double Cheese Burger” and my favourite - “Orange Mc Fizz”.
We drove to Cheras to pick up Mr. Kiasi and we were on our way to Kepong already. Traffic at MRR2 was smooth, with no jam at all and we managed to reach the restaurant 5 minutes after Shiau Lin and Lee C.S. with Zhi Xuan arrived.
10 minutes later, Jefferene and family arrived with Yee Ching; followed by Twinsmom and the Belles, and of course, their beloved “Gu Ma”. Then came Egghead, J and Little Skywalker in kung fu uniform, and Milly.
The latecomers were Zara’s Mama and family, 1+2mom and family and Loc Kee and family. Some came at 7PM with Loc Kee being the last, 8PM. Mind you, Loc Kee stays in Kepong but arrived last. I thought the gathering was at 6PM? –shakes head- Next time, must be punctual. Since a few of us are in a rush and some came late, I didn’t manage to take pictures of them.
Food is great, as usual. I ordered beef steak, which turned out awesome. The steak was juicy and tender, came with black pepper sauce and a variety of side dishes. Chris and me ordered fruit salad, mashed potato and garlic bread. The mashed potato was heavenly, big serving and heavenly mushroom sauce. It is 10 times better than KFC’s mashed potato. Mr. Kiasi ordered fish and chips, which looked very appetizing indeed.
Since there were only a few new comers and the rest already knew each other, it turned out more like a friends’ gathering instead. We were chatting loudly, over the table, with the kids running here and there and of course, lots of camera flashes, enough to make you feel like a pop star.
Since I needed to rush back to Tampin on that night itself, we left Milwaukee and went to eat Hong Kei’s BBQ Chicken Wings before we left Kepong. I reached Tampin around 12.30AM and went out to gamble at friend’s house after that. Ha!
Well, it was fun to meet up with friends again. Nothing but fun, but, next time be more punctual, OK? However, I didn’t take much photos, only bout 30+ photos compared to previous gathering, almost 70+ photos. Even Egghead only took 44 photos (current), compared to 144 photos (previous).
