Watching Movies With Retarded People
I went to watch “The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, The Witch and The Wardobe” few hours ago. I am not going to talk bout the movie, but the people who were in the same movie hall with me. I can’t stand these people anymore and I need to vent. (Dang! No profanities, my dad warned me before. -rolls eyes-)
Be early or punctual for the movie.
The movie starts at a specific time, you don’t come in 15 minutes later and take your own sweet time standing right in the middle of the screen, guessing where your seat can be or whether you want to buy popcorns or not. When you are late, please, don’t use your mobile phone’s torchlight to “shine” your way to your seat. The light from the screen itself is enough to guide you to your seat. If you are really that “blind”, for your information, at the side of each row, there are brightly lit icons, displaying the alphabets of your row number. If you are still that stupid to find your seat, seek help from the movie conductor, not walking around like a headless chicken.
Switch off or mute your mobile phone.
You laugh when the superbly lame (It is superbly lame indeed.) public service message – “Turn your mobile phone off” by Nokia shows, but you never do it. Either you don’t understand what the short clip is about or you are just plain stupid / dumb, but I think is the latter. Nobody wants to listen to your monotone, polyphonic tone, true tone or whatever tone is it during any movies, not even in a movie about mobile phones.
End your call as fast as possible.
You pick up the call, talk and end it as fast as possible, not take your own sweet time telling the caller when you want to “balik kampung”, what the movie is about, trying to have phone sex or talk loudly as if we can’t hear you. Even the 5 years old kindergarten student sitting next to me kept his mouth shut when the movie started and “ssshhh…” you, don’t you feel ashamed?
Don’t reply SMS while watching any movies.
If you have modified your mobile phone with super bright white LEDs, don’t ever reply your SMS. It is a distraction and it spoils your eyes as well, but I guess you are too stupid to know that. Even if you want to reply, reply with messages like “I’m watching a movie now. I’ll reply you later.”, not turning it into a 20 SMS-es exchange session with your boy / girl friends, admirers, stalkers, secret lovers, mistress or whoever he / she is for the next 1.5 hour.
Again, switch off or mute your mobile phone.
After you hang up, take the tendency to switch off or mute your mobile phone. Not letting it is so that it’ll ring AGAIN and annoy other people for the SECOND time. We are taught not to repeat the same mistake twice. However, looks like you are certified plain stupid / dumb, that is why you repeat the same mistake. As a result, you will always remain that stupid / dumb.
Keep your mouth shut throughout the movie.
You don’t chat with your friend while watching a movie. You see with your eyes, not your mouth. I don’t see any reasons why you should open your mouth except eating popcorns and drinking your beverage. Even if you really really really really and I mean really really really really want to talk, talk softly. The most fucked up thing is, you don’t tell what is going to happen next just because you have watched the movie 1 day earlier than me. I always feel like throwing my popcorns at the person’s face especially if he / she is sitting in front of, behind and beside me.
Avoid bringing babies to the movie.
Why in the hell would you bring a 2 or maybe 3 years old baby to the cinema? It is fine with me IF AND ONLY the baby doesn’t cry throughout the movie. Each time there is a sudden loud sound, the baby cries and you make those sound like “ang gu gu…”, “ssshhh…” and etc. is also equally annoying.
And most importantly,
YOU DON’T BUY DRINKS TO SPILL IT ON MY LEG!!!
If you want to enjoy the movie, please, be more responsible with your action. If you don’t want to, please, do not pay RM8 to get into the movie hall to annoy other people. But this is Malaysia, it is unavoidable. –sighs-

holy cow! i can totally feel your pain! I guess its the same everwhere when watching a movie at the theater!
i can’t stand the crying babies…or even kids running on the aisle because they’re bored and not interested in the movie and the parent is not interested to tell them to stop. Or even if they do…it’s for a little while and back they go running again! Makes you want to scream at the child or at the parent yourself!

MengZ : Ya, very lucky indeed.
Analgestic : Not being grumpy, its just BASIC watching movies rules/ethics.
Consuela : Yes, don’t you feel like tripping the kids down so that they fall and cry loudly and get out of the cinema? Sometimes, I even feel like whacking the kid.
Egghead : Its everywhere and its unavoidable. Bah~! I paid RM5 for the movie only. I prefer to watch movies in cinema already, instead of supporting Uncle Ho. :-) It is the experience that counts.
Lee C.S. : Haha! That’s very good. :D Hmm… I prefer to watch in cinema, its the experience and atmosphere that I want to be in.
Msau : They happened all the time, not only in that movie. Only the water spill incident is my bad luck.

I went and saw the quite-not-recent movie: The Maid. There’s this one cupboard scene where to hantu is supposed to lepak around it and when a bunch of gals saw the ghost, they threw their popcorn up in the air.
And I enjoyed those popcorn which fell onto my lap/bag.

Lin Peh : -grins- Ha! I can’t sing at all and my voice is terrible ler! I see what I can do. :P
Louyau-Mike : It’s a huge mistake, trust me.
Maria : Someone said you want to watch this movie in the cinema woh!
Cherrie : Ya, of all movies, this is the worst! Before the school holidays, there’s less than 10 or 15 people in one hall. But now, its almost jam packed everyday. So, directly, more idiots. Haha! You should have kick her chair to wake her up, ya know. :P Narnia? Hmm… Overall its nice, but the ending is a little too brief for my liking.
Jase Lee : LOL! Luckily they didn’t throw the coke up in the air or else…

Zara’s Mama : Haha! Nolah. I won’t join them because Jason is a good boy. Hmm… What you said is very true, but it is the experience that counts. Something that you won’t get it by watching it at home.
Auntie Maria : What show is that? “Helicopter”?

Narnia was an awesome movie. Sadly the movie started so late - 20 mins late, then they had another 10-20 mins of commercials. It was midnight when my friends and I got out of the cinema. The movie was meant to start at 9.10pm
