How Rotten Can A Bad Apple Be?

4 months ago, I discovered this pot of “beautiful”, “lovely”, “special” and “rare” and plant in a dark corner of our kitchen. Please click here if you want to know how we grew this pot of “beautiful”, “lovely”, “special” and “rare” and plant.

Today, I opened the fridge and ransacked the fridge for some food to stuff myself. I saw a plastic bag at the bottom of the fridge. Thinking that it might be some fruits bought by my housemates, I opened the bag. I was dumbfucked when I saw the apples.

Heck! One of the apples was so badly decomposed until half of it went missing! My best guess was the apples have been staying inside our fridge for at least 5 to 6 months. No thanks to the person (I think I know who is the person.) who bought andkept it there.

I took the plastic bag of apples and threw it away. I decided to clean the fridge and I took out everything. It was then these 2 cups of mashed potatoes from K.F.C that caught my interest. I opened it and immediately, I could smell the fermented mashed potatoes. I had to stand an arm distance away from it to throw them away.

Sighs… Why am I always the one who clean up the shits?

aiyoooo….. terrible terrible terrible. Freaking disgusting!!

I used to clean up the overloaded fridge in my old house too. Of course I grumbled and I grumbled but I felt good after cleaning up the fridge.

Some people are just sooooo irresposible. Even nieces who are much younger than your housemates also remember what they have in the fridge.

I guess you can come out with a time table. Share the tasks with your housemates… but then again, I doubt it will work lah since they’re too forgetful.

I hope those retarded housemates of yours realise that those bacteria can cause a lot of serious illnesses and in some cases even death???? Another thing too is the transfer of fecal bacteria from toilet to fridge from those who dont wash their hands after using toilet. Probabably healthier for you if you get your own mini fridge.

Man, those are vintage artwork!! Muahaha, kept for ages for the best taste, just like wine. That’s bad when you’re sharing fridges around the house, I do rotations of my food in the fridge, FIRST IN FIRST OUT. New stocks go behind the olds, so apples won’t go rotten liddat.

Eileen : The time table never work. I always clean the kitchen, backyard and ground floor’s toilet, since my room basically covers these areas once a fortnight or once a week. As for other places around the house, they will clean them up once a month or a semester? I washed the fridge by spraying water into it, just like a fireman! Heh!

Romantic : I doubt they know those fungus will cause death. I wonder what are in their mind. -shakes head-

Sue : Hehe. Blog about it so that we can compare, ok?

Egghead : Haha! At least I put in efforts to “jaga” certain areas of my hostel here. Trust me, my room is clean and neat. I sweep and wipe the floor everyday! Yikes… Did you wash them away and continue wear them? LOL.

Tash : Think on the positive side, you get to keep fit. :-D

    Kai Hong : Moo!

Pelf : *high 5* I will be reading it after I reply all the comments here. ;-)

Foodcrazee : Yeah, me and my ex-roomate were talking about it and mass producing maggots and fungus for those hospitals or organizations who need them. Perhaps we can earn some money from there.

Milly : Haha! I am impress with myself, actually…

Lee C.S. : LOL. If I don’t do so, the fridge will become fungus caltivating farm already! Eeeyerrr… But if canned food, is still ok. But this one is from fresh food to decomposed food, with maggots and fungus. Heck. There’s one occasion where the maggots have already evolved into flies, that I didn’t blog it out.

King’s Wife : Hmmm… Not a very good idea, later they think I am taking it as a personal issue. :-(

Alexallied : Artwork?! Hahahaha! My food goes straight to my mouth, never manage to keep them for more than 1 day! So, no need to rotate. Haha! The thing is they forget they have once bought apple and kept it in the fridge, not because of whether first in last out or what.

Emotionalistic : I have no idea. I am not a good housemate too, but at least I don’t let my food rot. :-P

Chris : What grade you want? High, medium or low grade? What flavour you want? Coke? Rootbir? Sprite? Apple? Strawberry? Contact me for details. I will give you discount. LOL.

Cheerie : Lucky you… Too bad I am the one who do the cleaning. -sob sob-

Hao : A rotten apple a day keeps other people away from the fridge too. :P Thanks!

MengZ : Haha! Now you should fight back for your belt title. LOL.

I searched for this site cos my flat mates blended rotten apples to make a drink….having left it in the frigde to go mouldy they still wont clean it up!12 weeks before this i came back to my uni flat to discover 15 week old mouldy chicken in the freezer….im telling you it was like cleaning up a dead body. The stuff was black! The dont wash their hands after going to the toilet ….leave mouldy cauliflowers in the fridge….is it any wonder ive lost weight.

Thanx for this site….have printed it off to show them. Am going crazy!
