1 Utama really lives up to its name – “Its all in one.”. I nearly got lost inside the shopping complex, as I could not find the venue – Chili’s Grill & Bar for my lunch appointment with Mystic Angel a.k.a Melissa. You got it right; it was my first time to 1U. After asking for direction at the information counter, I made my way to the restaurant and found Mystic Angel. She is quite talkative and friendly; does not look like 1% of my imagination of her too. We talked about current events, blogsphere, freelance jobs and of course, craps.
It was my first visit to a medium class restaurant that serves food that has name I never heard before. I am able to dig out the cheapest and yummiest food at the most deserted places or the most popular stall in town, but when it comes to restaurant with a certain class, I am a 100% certified n00b. I opened the menu and did not know what to order. As usual, Melissa guided me by recommending their popular dishes or dishes that worth a try.
She ordered a plate of chicken salad while I ordered a RM34.90 beef fajitas, one of their specialties and an all time recommended dish. When my dish was served, I actually mumbled. “Ok. How am I going to eat this?” Later, I realized it is something similar to the Chinese’s “Pohpiah”. Heck! I do not even know how to describe the process of eating it. Forgive my n00bness. –ashamed- It is delicious. The beef was tender and juicy. The ingredients like onions, green pepper, tomatoes and etc. were fresh, juicy and crunchy. I enjoyed it to the maximum and the happiness look was on my face the moment I finished my lunch. (April said TGIF has better ones.)

After leaving 1U, I headed for Mid Valley to meet Mun Kit at Book Cafe, MPH Bookstore. Mun Kit was a popular blogger and also a goldfish uncle that was caught lurking around blogsphere many months ago. Auntie Earthtone, Auntie Maria, Mun Kit and me shared a handful of sweet and bitter memories that time. However, he has stopped blogging for quite some time. Although he did upload his picture in his blog, he photoshopped the pictures. Therefore, I am going to expose his true face in my blog to increase my traffic.

Mun Kit had a date with his gay partner friend later that evening, so we bid farewell. I drove to Cheras and plan to give April a surprise visit. Surprisingly, I managed to find her house because I only went to her house once and that was like 2 years ago. Her mum remembered me too! I must have left a good impression when I first visited her house. –coughs- We talked about 40 minutes and her mum served me a bowl of sweet potato dessert. Simple and nice! –slurp-
Yan Shan, a young lady whom I got to know during RYLA camp 2 years ago. For those who do not know, RYLA stands for Rotaract Youth Leadership Award. It is a leadership camp organized for young working adults by Rotary Clubs. I have not met her since I said goodbye to her during the camp. I then joined her friends – Don, William and May Lee for dinner at Semenyih to celebrate Yan Shan’s birthday, which falls on the 17th of October. They are all working adults and are in high posts as well. They were talking about how they interview the candidates like the criteria they are looking for, what questions they ask, preferences and etc. and I actually paid attention to what they said.
The restaurant’s name is “Sin Tai Mah”. I know the name is kind of weird, do not laugh. The food is so-so only, but it seems the restaurant is very popular among the people in Semenyih. If you do not know where is Semenyih, it does not matter. The restaurant was fully packed with customer when we reached there.

I reached home at 12AM and had a good night sleep.
P/S :
Thanks to Melissa for the wonderful, delicious and expensive lunch.
Mun Kit, we must meet up again, but make sure Auntie Maria comes along too!
Yan Shan, happy birthday and all the best in your up coming interviews and work life.
The lunch at Chili’s Grill & Bar made me look so stupid and it shows how shallow my knowledge is on food. I really need to work on it before I embarrass myself even more in near future. “Babi di bawah tempurung.” –shakes head-
