K.L. Trip #2 - Day 3

Click on the link to read my K.L. Trip #2 - Day 1 and 2 posts.

It was Saturday, the day for the event – Kepong Blogger’s Gathering and also the main reason why I was in K.L.. Since I did not know how to go Kepong, to be punctual and to avoid the jam to include the time that I would be caught in a jam, I left the house at 5PM, hoping to reach the venue – Milwaukee Steak House Family Restaurant at 6.30PM.

It was drizzling and traffic was smooth. The weather got worse as time past by. The sky was totally dark, loud thunders could be heard, beautiful lightning could be seen and the wind was very strong by the time I reached Kepong. I was wondering whether some of the attendees would cancel their plan due to the weather.

I reached there at 6PM and was waiting outside the restaurant. Impressive interior decoration I can say, with a little forest environment with tree trunks, coconut trees, a small pond and a wooden bridge. There is a fish tank with 3 medium small size sharks near the kitchen. There are more fish tanks at another corner but I did not bother to go and have a look, since I am not going to eat them.

Slowly, one family came after another as the time approached 7.30PM. Surprisingly, despite the extremely bad weather, everyone attended with a last minute guest – Young Brat. 100% attendance! How was that for us, who read each other’s blog on daily basis? Do give yourself a loud applause. –claps claps-

Uncle William of “Willwolf’s Den” and his son, Darriel. (No? Daniel? Darren? Sorry, could not get his name correctly.) This pair of father and son, both of them are quite handsome. The son gets along with strangers very well. He actually talked to me first as he was sitting opposite me. Their relationship is very good as well, you can easily see it from their action and conversation, just like brothers. Did I mention Uncle William is as tall and big size as me?

Uncle Patrick of “Little Sky Walker” and his family, J and Little Luke Skywalker. His younger sister also attended the gathering. Pretty lady. –wink- Uncle Patrick and J have the husband and wife look. LLS is an active, cute and chubby baby boy, as he was laughing, shouting, making noises, climbing on the tables and etc. the whole night.

Auntie Sylvia of “Happy Family” and her family, 1+2 Dad, Carter, Carol and Carrie. She looks very different from the pictures she uploaded in her blog months ago. However, she looks very young indeed and she was the only mummy who wore a knee length miniskirt. I did not get to talk more than 3 sentences with Carter though as he was running around and playing happily with 1+2 Dad. Carol and Carrie look way too alike already and I could not differentiate who is who. Their face is so small that if I put my palm on their face, it would totally cover their face. Carrie actually ate the grape that I offered her. Either she was hungry or she likes to eat. Cute!

I did not get to talk to these few bloggers whom I have not met before – Peekabooh, Young Brat, Zara’s Mama and Sue. (Photos are arranged as the name sequence.) I am so sorry if I did not go up and introduce myself or strike a conversation. Hopefully we will get to talk more during the next gathering.

Since Auntie Maria’s birthday falls on the 18th of October, I suggested to the president of the organizing committee to celebrate Auntie Maria’s birthday as well. Uncle Patrick sponsored the cake although we have agreed to share it previously. We He had a difficult time to choose what flavour and cake to buy. The surprise did work although I had hinted told Auntie Maria about it before in one of my emails. –shakes head-

It was approximately 10 o’clock when the gathering had come to an end. Everybody bid farewell while another small group continue the second gathering at “Kei Tak Sek”, Kepong for some desserts. Yours truly did not miss out that as well, but that will be another post.

It was a wonderful night indeed, meeting new and old bloggers. Our blogs are not only blogs, they have become a platform for us to make new friends and to extend our cyber friendship. Who knows, I might setup 1 or 2 tables for bloggers only during my wedding dinner. –lol-

Now, here comes the food pictures that I managed to snap that night. I am lazy to describe the food and I suppose you will know what they are by looking at the pictures, right? Overall, the food is good and definitely worth a try and come back for more. The last few pictures were food from Kei Tak Sek, Kepong.
