K.L. Trip #2 - Day 1
I reached K.L. at 7PM and it was raining heavily, very. Based on my memory, I made my way to Jalan Ipoh / Sentul Pasar to deliver something to a friend of mine. It was not quite a pleasant experience as it was raining cats and dogs and I was not sure (The truth was I did not know how to go.) how to go to my friend’s place. After turning in and out along Jalan Ipoh for like 45 minutes, I managed to find the destination. –sweat-
The always laughing and helpful dad, Mr. Loc gave me a call and we decided to meet up after that. I took the wrong route and ended up in Cheras instead, instead of Kepong. Then, for the second time, I took the wrong route and ended up somewhere near to KLCC. I passed by Great Eastern Mall building and it reminded me of Emotionalistic’s food review for Cozy House.
I knew I reached Kepong when I saw the Metro Prima signboard and Jusco building further down. I even saw the venue for the Saturday’s Kepong Bloggers’ Gathering – Milwaukee Steak Corner Family Restaurant. Uncle Loc picked me up and we had a drink at First Station Cafe while we were waiting for Kai Hong. The place was full of people and service was not really good. They did not bother to serve us until I called them. The waitress was not cute also.

Kai Hong arrived 20 minutes later and 3 of us went to have some snack – BBQ Chicken Wings. The stall name is “Hung Kei BBQ Chicken Wing Stall” and it is very famous around Kepong area. It is really delicious, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Kai Hong is a master when comes to eat chicken. There was no meat left at the bone, it was superbly clean. Uncle Loc teased him, “You have hatred towards the chicken, is it?”

After bidding farewell to Uncle Loc, both of us went to eat “Dim Sum” at “Tuck Kei Restaurant”. It is so-so only, nothing to shout about, but then the “Shrimp Dumping” is definitely better than Malacca’s. There are 2 shrimps inside, while Malacca’s only has 1.

Then, I drove all the way back to UKM, Bangi after making another appointment with Kai Hong the next day. The journey took me 1 hour, cruising along LDP at 110km/h. It is impossible to drive at such speed in Malacca for more than 5 minutes, you know.
P/S :
Thanks to Uncle Patrick (Egghead) and Uncle Loc for guiding me to Sentul and Kepong.
Thanks to Uncle Loc for the drinks at First Station Cafe.
Thanks to Kai Hong for the chicken wings and “Dim Sum”.
