That is sooo wrong.. a simple thank you would have made the day for your parents. Over here , most kids are already working to pay their own fees, lodging etc and will be very grateful when their parents help out.

The part I said wrong was the… not saying thank you to them directly. They would have appreciated more than just reading about it,, The rest is to let you know how lucky you are to have parents who fully support you not a lecture. :)
