Jason’s Proposed Bloggers Gathering - Phase I

July 25th, 2005, Jason

My 1-week mid term break (holidays) will commence on 31st of July, Sunday until 6th of August, Saturday. Therefore, I am planning to go K.L. for 5 days to hang out with my buddies, look out for and try local food sightseeing and meet more bloggers.

I will be staying in UKM with Chee Yong and Chun Kit. Who knows, I might even attend classes with them. After all, there should be some difference between public and private university. It could be my first time stepping into public university. I have been into one before, but it was just drive through the campus only.

Anyway, back to the topic. I have two plans and perhaps you can give your two cents or choose the one that is the most convenient for you. Since I am quite free, therefore, I do not mind moving around K.L. as long as you bring me to places that have nice foods it is not too far or too difficult to reach.

Plan #0001B is that I will be meeting various bloggers according to area. The advantages of this plan are I get to move around K.L. and thus, I get to eat more food see and explore more things around the area. We get to talk more and thus, not neglecting anybody. The disadvantages are it might get a little boring if there are too few people. Chances of bloggers meeting up with other bloggers will be lower. I will be paying a certain amount of money for my transportation and more on food.

Areas that are currently (proposed) on my lists are :

Location : Seri Kembangan / The Mines / South City Plaza
Bloggers : Msau and Tiu Nia Sing
Food : Night Market, Steamboat Buffet, Paper Wrapped Chicken or “Zhi Bao Gai 纸包鸡”

Location : Petaling Jaya Section 17 / UTAR PJ Campus / UM / Mid Valley
Bloggers : Twinsmom, Mun Kit (again), and 1+2mom
None Bloggers : Hui Ching and Meei Tzy
Food : Mid Valley’s “Ikan Bakar” (Twinsmom’s favourite!)

Location : UPM
Bloggers : Juliana (again)
Food : None

Location : Cheras
Bloggers : Carol and Mr. Kiasi
Food : Night Market (Fermented Tofu “臭豆腐”)

Location : Kepong
Bloggers : Milly (again), Loc Kee and Lazy Bone
Food : None.

I have yet to arrange the time and day yet, as I am not too sure whether my friends want to tag along or not. Do inform me if you prefer any particular day or time so that I can plan my schedule and discuss with my friends. It does not matter whether it is lunch, tea, dinner or supper, if you want to chip in a movie or a session of bowling or snooker also can. I am very flexible; therefore, I try to make things easy and convenient for you. However, I need one evening / night on my own to have a meal or perhaps a movie with someone. I will consult her when she is free and I will update this post again.

Plan #0010B is I will choose one place which is convenient for everyone and thus, we will meet at the suggested location / venue. The plus sides are everybody gets to meet each other, save time, merrier and I do not have to do a lot of traveling. I will have more time for myself to do exploration around K.L and perhaps even meet up with Adeline. The negative sides are someone will be neglected and the suggested time and location may not be convenient for certain bloggers.

Location : Mid Valley, Petaling Jaya
Day : Wednesday
Time : Anytime after 12 Noon. It is possible to split into 2 sections.
Venue : To be decided.

Bloggers that I wish want to meet are Juliana (again), Milly (again), Mr. Kiasi, Tiu Nia Sing, Msau, Loc Kee, 1+2mom, Twinsmom, Carol, Mun Kit (again) and Lazy Bone. Mumsgather said she is a teenager in disguise, young and pretty; therefore, she might make other SAHMs jealous of her if they meet her. So, to avoid World War III, she decided not to meet anyone from blogsphere. (I did not say other SAHMs are not young and pretty. -wink- By the way, check out this super hot mummy - Karen Cheng.)

As for Earl-Ku, Kai Hong, Simon and Meng Zhee, it will definitely be a sweet memory and a bonus for my trip if I get to meet you all. Earl-Ku, maybe you can bring me go “sightseeing” or clubbing. But, subsidize me a little bit, ok? –lol- Kai Hong, looks like you got to bring me AND “belanja” me eat “Bah Kut Teh” first. –lol- As for Meng Zhee, bring Xi Voon along if you want to meet me. –lol- Simon, I would gladly to meet you as well but since you still wanted to remain anonymous even though you have attended PPS 2nd Birthday Bash, therefore the choice is up to you. Papi and mami, feel free to drop by too. Other bloggers that are free also can join us. The more the merrier.

I am open for suggestions. Therefore, suggest the best and most convenient date, time and venue for you. Perhaps, we could do a voting session to determine the details. Please leave your suggestion or votes in the comment system and I try to come up a plan or schedule that best fit everybody. Everything will be finalized before I go back hometown on Friday afternoon or latest by Saturday morning.

P/S :

Yes, I will must get a new specs or change to new lens before I go K.L. There is no way you all going to see my “handicapped” specs.

I might scrap this whole thing if my mum freezes my allowance or my dad does not give me extra money like last month. Thanks to my dad, he gave me extra RM200 last month and I have an average of RM10 per day to spend.

My mum will nag me if she knows about my plan. She will nag, “You cannot stay home, is it?”, “Why want to go K.L. to waste money and have fun?”, “Now is exam period, why cannot you stay home and study for your exam?”. Worst come to worst, she will not say any single word. Oh yeah, I have not talk to my mum since I went back Tampin a month ago. Really! Not even a sentence! -sweat-

A Gift From NeeNee

July 24th, 2005, Jason

For my blog readers who have been following my blog since I started blogging, you should know that one of the characters that appears in my blog very often is NeeNee. However, she has been missing from my blog for quite some time, has not she? It happened because we did not spend time together, as in both of us, and “cold war” was declared approximately 1 month ago. –sighs-

Anyway, we met up yesterday, as she wanted to give me the present that she bought for me when she was doing her shopping spree at Times Square the other day. Actually, it is not considered as a present as I already knew what it was. We usually consult or tell the other party before we get something for each other. Yes, there is no surprise, at all, between the both of us. Another funny thing is that we know or never hide the price of the gift. Guess Simon’s rules/guides on buying a girl’s present does not apply here.

Before I proceed, maybe these pictures will give you an idea of what is it.

Alright, it is a T-Shirt from Body Glove that costs RM49.90. Finally, I have something different for my wardrobe and other than my collection of Giordano’s basic T and plain colour. (More on that later as I am still not able to gather all my 10 T-shirts for a photograph session.)

How do I look in it? Good or bad? Honestly, I have no idea, as I look bad in almost any shirt I wear. –lol- Anyway, the point is that I am happy and it feels wonderful that someone who I care and love gave me something, as a token of appreciation or just a simple thought. Thanks for the shirt, Nee! –hugs-

P/S : Problem between us still has not been solved. –double sighs-

Something From My Heart / Mind

July 22nd, 2005, Jason

I was going through my archives just now when I noticed that my posts contain quite a lot of photos recently and I have not been writing stuffs on my feeling and personal view on certain issue that happened in my life lately. Perhaps, I have that little intention of blogging for an audience when I was writing my post. Forgive me.

Recently, my blog has offended someone a group of people. Lets not go into the details, you never know shit might just hit the fan because of this. Honestly, I do not think that my blog needs any disclaimer, by all means. My blog is a place for me to write anything that happened to me or under that the sun, so that I can go through my past by reading them again as I get older. My blog – “Jason Mumbles” belongs to me and nobody owns it. Maybe Blogger does, but still, it is my blog. Therefore, I have all my rights and power to write anything I want, bad or good stories, and how I want the story is being told, from my own point of view or a bias mind. You are welcomed to give your feedbacks or debate over the issue, but you have no say when it comes to questions like “Why I want to blog this?” or “Why you blog about his/her bad stories?” I suppose this is the most basic rule when comes to blogging, right? No? Then it leads to another question – “What is the most basic and golden rule when it comes to blogging?” Anyway, I have made my point and hopefully, it will not happen again. I am sorry as well. -smiles-

It has been 2 months since the thunderstorm between my parents and me ended. Although I was not too keen on the idea with my parents reading my blog, but as Auntie Lilian said, I have to accept and face the fact that my parents are reading my blog from now on. For 2 months, my dad has been respecting my blog, as in not complaining about the 5W’s regarding bout my blog, except for my mum who grumbles to my dad about my blog. (As long as she does not grumble in front of me, I am fine with that.) In other words, I am getting used to it and I am glad that my parents are now reading my blog. Since my dad started reading my blog, we have more conversation communication through emails and obviously, this is a good sign.

Taking the most recent example regarding about my broken specs, my dad has emailed me today and requested me to change to a new specs and he will pay for it as long as it is below RM300. Thanks a lot, Pa! If I have never blog about my specs, I guess I will be wearing this “handicapped” specs for a long time, or until I have save enough money to change to a new specs. Anyway, I am still thinking whether I should change the lens only as the frame is still usable or get a new specs as Kancil Killer and Tiu Nia Sing said my specs looked “Ah-Beng” and “Lou Tou 老土”. –sweat-

Lets talk some academic stuff for my parents’ sake so that they get to know what is my progress in my academic.

I will be starting to have my mid term examination next week and the first subject is none other than my once-failed ECT 1016 Circuit Theory. Although I have been studying for about 2 to 3 hours almost every weekday in the library, I am still not confident with myself yet. Although I am able to solve most (about 75%) of the examples and tutorial questions, I still have some problems when it comes to certain circuits, especially circuits that have various voltage source and current source. I was in the library for about 5 hours today, fully concentrating on this subject only and yet, I still have problem solving certain circuits. –sighs- I guess I shall see the lecturer – Mr. Alan Tan tomorrow. He is a very good lecturer and is a genius when comes to programming. Whether my hard work will pay off, I will only get to know next Wednesday. –double sighs-

I have been assigned as the main programmer for ECP 2036 Microprocessor And System Interfacing, which I have to write a program using assembly code to display the 26 alphabets and 10 digits on a 8*8 dot matrix display by using a Intel 8051 Microprocessor. This is a heavy burden as the whole group and project will depend on my program to work and to score. Any kind Samaritan is willing to help me with the program or give me some guidelines? Mr. Kiasu? Michael Ooi? Jinlan? Big Big Mug? I failed this subject before and I was also the main programmer for the assignment for this subject last year. I was required to write a program that has the function of a basic calculator by using a LCD display unit, a HEX keypad and a Intel 8051 Microprocessor. I failed to produce the program, in other words, I failed the whole group. –triple sighs-

Wish me luck and pray for me, I need lots of them.

My holidays are coming soon. There are a few plans currently and I have yet to decide which plan I will be using. Most likely I will go K.L. to meet Milly (again) and more bloggers this time. Currently on the list are Mun Kit (again), Juliana (again), Carol, Mr. Tiu Nia Sing, Mr. Kiasi, Twinsmom, MSau, Loc Kee and perhaps Mumsgather or 1+2mom.

There is one more thing I wanted to write here, but I think it deserves another entry on its own. Perhaps, 2 days later? I need to get some rest, as I am very tired after staying in campus for almost half a day. Besides, I have 2 lab sessions, 1 tutorial class and 1 replacement class, which means I will be in campus from 8AM to 12Noon, 2.30PM to 6.30PM and 8PM to 10PM today. –quadruple sighs-

P/S :

I sighs for ten times in one post.

I just noticed, with this post, the picture at the background is fully exposed for the first time. -grins- She is NeeNee’s sister - Yen Nee. The picture was not drawn by me.

Happy 19th birthday (21/7) to Xi Voon! Click here to visit her blog. Hint : SYT!

I Broke My Specs!

July 20th, 2005, Jason

Chun Kit called me early in the morning the other day when I was sleeping like a pig. I woke up and was searching for my phone that I put beside my bed with my eyes closed. While I was trying to get my phone, I accidentally pushed my spectacles and it fell onto the floor. I managed to pick up the call and went back to sleep after that. When I woke up, I found my glasses have cracked and it is more serious than before. It has cracked before this, but it did not affect my eyesight. But, now it does. Time to save some money and get a new pair of spectacles. –Sighs-

By the way, the glasses are not glasses, it is plastic actually. -shakes head-

2 Person’s Birthday Party

July 17th, 2005, Jason

I was back in Tampin to attend Chee Yong’s and Lee Hwee’s birthday party at A’ Famosa Golf Resort. We rented a bungalow with a small swimming pool in the resort with special price/discount and throw a party for both of them there. Let the pictures tell the story as I am very tired today after studying in the library for 3 hours.
