Meeting Juliana - Day 2

Waking Staying up until 10AM without any sleep just to wait for Ju’s call was one of the most torturous things I have ever done throughout my holidays. After nearly 8 hours of waiting and staring at the ceiling for nothing, we met up and had lunch together before starting our journey to Tampin and Water World at 1PM. After rushing back to my house to collect the tickets, we entered Water World at 2.30PM with elephants and parrots greeting them at the entrance.

I slightly briefed them and they were all set to go. Notice the word “they” instead of “us / we”? Yes, they were ready but not me. I did not join them as I have phobia with Water World. I worked there as a part timer during one of my holiday breaks. I still have a few grudges and unhappy encounters with the manager. I have visited Water World for the N-th time. Last but not least, there is nothing interesting and new to me already. Therefore, I was their camera man throughout the whole outing in Water World. Maybe I can earn pocket money by offering such service.

Therefore, I led them to “Family Raft”, “Tube Slides”, “High Speed Slides”, “Body Slides” and “Wave Pool”, skipping the “Arabian Village”, “Children Playground” and “Lazy River”. While they were enjoying themselves, I talked to the life guards there as I got to know them when I worked there. Surprisingly, a few of them still remember me. I took quite a lot of pictures with their cameras and I got drenched a few times, especially at the “High Speed Slides”.

At 6.30PM, they had enough of fun and it was time to leave. They bathed themselves and we were off to have something to eat before they head back to Malacca. I brought them to a restaurant in my housing estate and ordered food for them while I went off to prepare the supposed-to-be-a-surprise cake, presents and flowers, with the help of Chun Kit. You do not remember who is Chun Kit? He was the treasurer for our holiday trip, click here for his picture.

Ju’s birthday falls on the 10th of June, Friday. Therefore, I decided to celebrate her birthday by giving her a surprise. But then, shit happened and there was no surprise. I bought the 2 stalks of roses from Jaya Jusco when I was in Malacca while Chun Kit bought the cake from Baker’s Cottage at the same time when we were in Water World. Since I do not know what Ju wanted and I only remembered that she said a bar of chocolate would do as a gift when we meet up, I got her “half” home made chocolates. How did the chocolates look like? May be you can check it out after Ju blogged about her trip AND she is kind enough to upload a photo of the present.

Therefore, at the restaurant, Chun Kit sent the cake over and I collected the flowers from my car. I took the cake, the flowers and the present and gave them to Ju, wishing her “Happy Birthday” at the same time. -blush blush- Ju’s facial expression was emotionless! Really! –sweat- She was like Pinocchio the wooden puppet, errmm…well, you get the idea. Maybe I was wrong too as I, myself was too, very anxious and shy indeed, heart pumping at a very fast pace, blood rushing to my brains and my palms were sweating a lot. Anyway, it went on well enough to avoid any disaster. We had our pre-dinner and celebrated Ju’s birthday after that.

Typical birthday agenda – Sing the “Happy Birthday” song in at least 2 different languages, birthday girl / guy makes a wish, blows the candle(s), cuts the cakes and everybody gets a piece of the cake. Chun Kit got her a cappuccino cake, which tasted very good except that it would taste better if it was chilled properly before being served.

After that, it was time to bid farewell as they need to rush back to Malacca and I could not join them anymore.

“Bye, Jason. It was nice meeting you in person.” *while hand shaking*

That was the last sentence said by Ju before we bid farewell with each other, and of course, with other friends as well. Their trip to Water World / Tampin has ended, but mine has just started for I had another birthday party to attend at 11PM. Venue was Gadek’s natural hot water spring followed by another round of “Char Kuey Teow” and “Satay” for supper.

P/S : She looks more beautiful in person. -grins-
