Third Featured Blog Of “Jason Mumbles”

June 29th, 2005, Jason

There was one time when Auntie Lilian suggested that we should introduce a new/old blog that is worth recommending to our blog’s readers every week. This is to promote the blogging spirit and to share interesting blogs with other people. However, the practice slowly died off.

I have only introduced 2 blogs so far. The first featured blog was My Miracles by Carol Tee, who later switched her blog to Pandatuary. Click here to read the revelant post. The second featured blog was “J”ded by Juliana, who was nominated in the category of “Neophyte Blog of the Year” in PPS. Click here to read the revelant post.

I have to say, I truely enjoyed every single post they blogged and hopefully, you too. Not only that, we became friends since then. It was really fun and nice to meet both of you, really! -hugs-

Today, I am going to introduce another blog - “The <3th Darth Comic Adventure“. It is not a blog actually, more like a space for him/her to post his/her comic strips, just like our famous Twinsmom’s “Twins Comic“. Basically, the comic strips are drew based on the movie - Star Wars with very cute and little characters of Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Yoda and the Sith Lord.

I have included 4 comic strips of his/her creation.

Therefore, do visit his/her blog. It will cheer you up, somehow. By the way, the creator nickname is iharthvader.

P/S :

Click here to start from post #1.

The comic strips belong to iharthdarth and I do not take any credits for it.

I am currently eyeing another blog, hopefully it will make it to “Jason Mumbles”‘ featured blog soon.

My English

June 28th, 2005, Jason

Advanced

You scored 92% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 86% Advanced, and 73% Expert!

You have an extremely good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels’ questions correct. This is an exceptional score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don’t use them properly. You got an extremely respectable score.

Thank you so much for taking my test. I hope you enjoyed it!

For the complete answer key, visit my blog.

You scored higher than 35% on Beginner.
You scored higher than 59% on Intermediate.
You scored higher than 21% on Advanced.

P/S :

I got this from Small Moskito at his blog.

I bet Juliana can score perfect score.

I will be back with another update.

I Lost My Wallet

June 27th, 2005, Jason

My family members – Chee Yong, Yih Tian, Pei San, Suet Lei and Sha Ly gave it to me as my 18th birthday present.

I have been using it since 2002.

It is the best wallet I have used so far, because it does not have too much compartments and it is a very simple design.

My wallet contains :

3 ATM cards - Bumiputra Commerce, Public Bank and Maybank (All have less than RM10 balance. I am poor!)

3 IC sized photo of myself

1 identity card (Do I need 2 identity cards?)

1 driving license (Do I need 2 driving licenses?)

1 MMU student identity (not-so) smart card (Thank God that I took it out the other day!)

1 Hotlink membership card

1 IC sized photo of someone (Guess who.)

1 double heart shape origami folded by NeeNee

1 silver coloured heart shape origami folded by Bee Ying

1 small handmade Valentine’s day card / folder from Aellyno

Various movie tickets (for remembrance) that I watched with my special friends

RM40 – my allowance for this week!

I am blogging about the wallet because I have lost it today! I think I have dropped it near the shop where I have my hair cut this evening, about 4.30PM. I only realized it when I wanted to go out to have my dinner at 7.30PM. I searched all possible places and my wallet was nowhere to be found.

It is not about the money and troubles I have to go through to get back all my stuff, but it is the sentimental value that my wallet contains.

Time for me to get a new wallet.

-sniff sniff-

P/S : How do I take pictures of my wallet when it is missing?

Hair Style Of The Year

June 26th, 2005, Jason

It has been very warm lately and it is about time for me to have my hair cut. After being “persuaded” by Chris, I went for my hair cut. I took a picture before I left the house for remembrance.

This was me before my hair cut.

I tried taking a picture similar to Kenny’s, but failed.

After 5 minutes, it was done. Yes, 5 minutes. The result?

Ta-da~!

Durian head with blade #1! The shortest of all durian head style.

Ok~! I know I look fucking ugly fugly now. Not that I look very handsome before my hair cut also. Eessshhh~!

I can feel the wind flowing above my head now. Chris said my head is like an airfoil shape or an aeroplane wing. -sweat-

“南无阿昵陀佛! 闪哉闪哉!”

P/S : This is my 200th post!

Best Chendol In Malacca

June 25th, 2005, Jason

My last visit to Jonker Street was on 12th of March, together with April when she came to Malacca with her parents. Since I was pretty messed up yesterday with various incidents and people, I decided to have something delicious to cheer myself up. Chee Yong and his girl friend, Lee Hwee was in Malacca to watch Penny Tai’s showcase. Therefore, we decided to meet up in Jonker Street after the showcase and my replacement class.

We headed for the famous “Chendol” shop, which is located somewhere in the middle of the street. The shop name is “Kedai Antik 88″ and you will never miss it. The shop lives up to its name. There are a lot of antiques inside the shop, from treasures like bowls, plates, jades and vases that were dug up from the sea or passed down from generations to generations. There are also various old photos, photos and picture frames of Elvis Presley, Bruce Lee and Teressa Teng and Malacca town during the 1940’s and 50’s. Wooden tables and chairs are used in the shop. Even the lights used are antiques! The house is very long, at least 2 times longer than the current normal terrace house. There is a reason why the house was built so, but I am a bit lazy today. Forgive me.

There are various “Chendol” sold here but I personally suggest the original “Baba Chendol”. Since everybody knows what “Chendol” is, lets go straight to the point. The wonderful thing about this “Chendol” is the “Gula Melaka” they use. The “Gula Melaka” is very pure, as in not mixing with too much (or maybe without) water. It is very thick and highly concentrated. It basically “glues” the ice into a ball of ice. The fragrance can be smelt even before you step into the shop. Not only that, the coconut milk is very thick too! With that, the best “Chendol” in Malacca comes from this shop.

I had my dinner in this shop too. I ordered “Nyonya Laksa” and it was so-so only. I have a better place for “Nyonya Laksa” though. Next time introduce to you all, ok? However, they have increased their price. A bowl of “Chendol” now costs RM1.70, instead of RM1.50. They even have uniforms already! Heck! RM0.20 because it has upgraded to a tourist spot?!
