Friday Morning…

7 o’clock in the morning, I was sleeping in the room when my mum came rushing into the room, screaming at the top of her lungs.

Mum : Where did you put the house keys? (Very loudly.)

Jason : It is inside the box. (Closing my eyes, a little bit of annoyed.)

Mum : I have search for it, still do not have. If I found it, do I have to come up stairs to shout at you? I put both keys into the box last night myself, and this morning, both keys are missing. You was the one who went out last night, if it was not you, then who? (My neighbour could have heard what my mum said.)

Jason : How I know? I only took one set. (Pointing at the table.)

Mum : Then, where is the other one? Where did you put it?

Jason : I said it is in the box!

Mum : I said don’t have. Where did you put it? You get up now and find it!

Jason : ….. (Taking a set of keys and went down stairs.)

Mum : You were the last one who went out and used the keys. If it wasn’t you, then ghost? Every night go out “yam char” until 2 or 3AM, meaningful or not? You didn’t put back the keys when you came back. Now, the key is missing. You don’t know where did you put the keys? (Her voice was still that loud and more annoyed.)

Jason : …… (Searching the box and found the keys in my first attempt.)

Mum : Lost already, isn’t it? (Turning towards my direction.)

Jason : …… (Holding the keys right in front of her eyes.)

Mum : ……

3 seconds of silence…

Mum : Janis, you found the keys already and put it back inside the box, is it?

Janis : I didn’t. (Shouting innocently.)

Jason : …… [Inside my heart : ~!@#$%^&*()] (Walking back to my bedroom.)

Janis : Hehe……

可怜的Jason ah, it’s really “mang cang” to be woke up by ppl when you are still in the bed . I know the feelings~ But I think every Mama and Muimui also will do this to everyone of us at home. When something is missing , they will come to you first , then you’ll be very furios at that ..hahaha.. calm down and don’t so “唠气”.

If I were Jason, I will ask the bitch.. oppss.. sorry… my mum to stop shouting like a bitch, then go downstair with her, and get the key. I will take that oppurtunity to make a deal with her, NEVER EVER SHOUT AT ME ANYMORE or else I WON’T BE SO NICE TO HER ANYMORE!! End of story…

Sometimes mothers are like that one lah.

I keep quiet most of the time, but when I cannot tahan already, I’ll shout back at her and tell her to stop screaming at me. :P After that we both feel bad about it. But can’t be help la.. My mom’s pre-menopausing now.

In my family, only my Dad keeps the key. Kakak is always at home to open the door for us. She’ll take the keys if she follows us out. :)

I think both of us share the same kind of experiance, because my mom is also like that. But this kind of things happen only when i was at my teens, don’t know why suddenly it had become very different. She never shouted at me anymore.

ur mom dun like the things u did i.e. go out late, sleep late, wake up late, etc., so use tis as alasan to scold and remind u dun repeat liao gua…erm, i think i did the same thing to my siblings…hehe =P not good, i know, im changing steeeeeeadily…

it does seem tat ur mom disapproves with omos everything u do…haha, i believe one day both of u will find a proper way out of these misunderstandings. like me, i used to dread talking with my dad or even listening to him talk…stm would end up RLY annoyed. but now, i’ve found i actually can find common ground with him, i.e. extracting knowledge/experience from him…so things have changed…rather slowly and painful…but it’s changing for the better =)

    good luck, dear!

It’s probably not just moms or sisters… In my family, it’s my dad who does it to me ALL THE TIME. Except when I’m far, far away, like now in another country. Hee hee. Everyone has played oppressor or victim some time or other. Today we’re the vicim, tomorrow, we’ll scream at some else like some changkai person.
