getting first class doesnt guarantee u will earn like bill gates. just try ur best, prove to ur mum that u will turn out to be a BETTER 1 eventhough u didnt follow exactly what she desire u to be. always enjoy the process, n make sure u try ur best, n lay the rest to god..kekekee…gambatehh ooo!!

Jason, I read many of your post and I think everyone has up and downs in one’s life. I as a parent I would definitely want my children to excel in their studies. You will understand when you become a dad latter. That I can promise you. As for now try hard and I am sure you will be able to succeed.Cheers!!!

A lot of parents are like that. Bet ya , u cant beat my mother!!! every waking moment shes at it. My dad was wonderful. Evn tho I’ was CEO of an MNC and hubby is a very qualified professionl in his field. we’re still not perfect like Ah Sam Ah Sohs daughter who is very smart . got her own trinket store in Toronto airport.. so dont let our mothers destroy our dreams. You know your own capabilities and make the best of it.. Good Luck

I will say…you better continue with your studies as long as your parents can afford to pay for your tuition fees. Else…you are most likely to regret in the future. Sorry, i am not here to nag you, but i really think that in order to survive with such competitive society today, we need to have at least a degree (even a degree is only the lowest qualification that could get you a well pay job).

At this point Jason you would need to shift into your frame of mind that nothing in life is ever easy.

And when you look at being compared to, don’t just let the fact that the other person is better than you,…most of us are lucky cause we are far better off than we think we are.

actualy when mom nags - thats a sign of them caring for us, i see no harm, just listen lo ...

these are all old-fashion moms, they won't go hugging us or kissing us on the forehead or cheeks - but instead will nag and nag and nag ... thats just them

so what can we do as filial respecting sons? - just shut-up and listen!

iisee no harm in that - some i hen i get too much nagging i just shout back ... feel guilty bout it - its not like they will be with us forever - cheerish them while they are still with us ...

1st–don’t complain. For when you complain, you put yourself in the role of a victim, and give away your power.

2nd–Remember that you have the potential to be what you want. You just need to know what you want to be, do and have, and allow it into your life.

3rd–parents sometimes just love to compare their children with other’s children. Don’t mind them. They still love you.

4th–Do what makes you happy, as long as it doesn’t interefere with others.

Earl-ku : Haha! Yeah, I really understand that. But when nag for too long like 45 minutes to 1 hour, sometimes we just cant help it and really feel depressed. :) I know that my mum and dad just care bout me, but they could nag me every time they see me, ask bout result, see the way i use my money and stuff. I just go nuts. Haha! Earl-ku, maybe you can consider firing your office boy and let me work for u. :P
