Satay Celup

Papi blogged about “Satay Celup” a while ago, and therefore, since I was having “Satay Celup” as a snack yesterday, I took a picture of it and decided to show it off. In my humble and personal opinion, Ban Lee Hiang “万里香” is the most authentic “Satay Celup” shop in Malacca. It is situated towards the end of Ong Kim Wee road. There are 2 shops under the same maintenance team, but with 2 different style. One is self service while the other is not self service. Although this shop does not provide variety as much as Capitol Satay Celup, yet they have the best sauce over here. Since I am a little bit lazy today and have a lab report to complete, I shall direct you to Papi’s blog for further information on “Satay Celup”. Click here to hop over.

Before I forget and I just found out this yesterday, “Satay Celup” is best eaten around midnight or 1AM. If you are the first customer of the day, the sauce is not yummy at all compare to when you come at midnight. I ate “Satay Celup” at 5.30PM, one of the first few customer when they just opened their shop, yesterday and I was very dissapointed with it. The sauce sucks as it lacked of chilies, peanuts and the “ummpphhh”. When you come around midnight, the sauce is thick, full of peanuts and chilies, the “ummpphhh” is there! The feeling of eating “Satay Celup” at such early hour is weird too.

P/S : Papi and Mami have a very nice blog and a very cute daughter named YiYi. Check it out as well. It is one of my daily reads too.
