Not Available For Download

At 2.29AM, March 13 :

As Msau suggested, I shall post the link for my readers to download the songs that are featured in my blog from now on, if possible.

RIGHT CLICK” on the link and select “SAVE AS” to download Fields Of Hope. (Link have been removed if you have not notice.) Click here for the relevant details on this song.

I hope you will enjoy the song and thanks for dropping by. Thanks to JxT2J for helping me to upload the song too.

After 2 hours and 37 minutes or at 5.06AM, March 13 :

Mr. Kiasu dropped by and left a comment regarding about this matter.

Quoted :

“Very sorry Jason, but I need to say this as a friend. It is very dangerous to provide song for people to download. First of all, it is the copyright issue, and any record company passing by can file a lawsuit against us. Then, we are responsible for the file being downloaded, and people will blame us if it contains virus. Apple recently filed a law suit against 3 web sites, though they were not well known, but Apple insisted that there were infringement of copyright, just because they talked about Apple’s trade secret at their web site. Jason, you are my friend, and I hope this advise will be helpful.”

Therefore, I have removed the link to avoid such things. Unless you wish that my site will be closed down and me being sued. A million thanks to Mr. Kiasu for pointing this matter out and saved my butt from being burnt. For people who are interested in getting the song from me, please kindly e-mail me. Have a nice day!

Not quite sure about playing that in background, but there is some licence involve also. For example, the html code provided by http://www.musiccodecentral.com also got some sort of licence i think.

    Not very sure.

Also in my last comment, i mistype the word “there” to “they”

It should be: “there is an infringement in copyright.”

    Hahahaaa…

Ya, i think playing song in the background should be ok. We’re helping them to promote the songs indirectly for FREE ~

Nyek nyek nyek, it’s a good point to defend yourself if they sued you.

Sure, it is a copyright infringement. However, we rarely see Japanese companies going for a hunt for putting Japanese songs on the site. However, if the song has been licensed by an American company, the chances are relatively high.

yeah. don mess with RIAA :) jap songs are okay i think. but then having mp3s on your server will definitely cause lotsa troubles..

my host even repeatedly warns users against uploading mp3s to the server.. and according to them msian government is interfering.

anyway if you still want to do so.. you can actually zip the file into a *.rar then set a password to it. keep the password secret and then only give to ppl (frens) who dl via your link :)
