I’m Controlled By Bill Gates
4AM in the morning, I was persuaded by Earl–Ku to use FireFox instead of Internet Explorer. After hearing so much about it, I decided to give it a try as there are no reason for me not doing so. I downloaded the installation file and everything was a breeze. After some slight tweaking, I am off to start using my FireFox.
The interface is very similiar to Internet Explorer, so it did not take a long time to get used to it. The first website I visited of course is none other than my own blog. (I wonder who would click the link.) First thing I noticed was my website is freaking ugly without the proper alignments and dotted lines. Eeww… I could not stand it. With the help of Earl-Ku, I slightly modified my HTML code and my blog looked more beautiful after that. However, the javascript for “Music Corner” and “Contact Info” were not working. That, I could not do anything. My blog does not look good with FireFox.
Later, I found out that any link that contained target=”_blank” will be opened up in another new browser instead of a new tab. Well, I could have open it in a new tab by right clicking it and have it open in a new tab. It was working exactly like Internet Explorer. Duh~! I tried to set the options but still, it did not work.
The next thing is that FireFox does not support my LX 7 mouse’s programmable button. There are 3 buttons on my mouse that has the function such as “Back”, “Forward” and “Refresh”. Neither one of them works in FireFox. In such situation, my mouse was basically useless in this sense.
However, one thing that I noticed was the loading speed of a website was way much faster than Internet Explorer. Its nice, sleek and simple design sure suited my taste and preference very much.
After 4 hours of using FireFox, I decided to go back to Internet Explorer. Even though it is not as stable as FireFox or as safe as FireFox, I think I am fully controlled by Bill Gates. Anyway, thanks a lot, Earl -Ku for helping me out this morning.
P/S : My blog looked perfect in Internet Explorer now. -satisfied-

To me, personally I like Firefox very much. I rarely use IE nowadays.
I’m using Firefox to test the web applications I’m developing. Why? ‘Cos I want to make sure that, the layout of my application looks the same in varying browser. As far as possible, I’ll use CSS (style sheets) to design the layout. I don’t want my web applications to look perfect in IE, but the other way round in Firefox :-)
Maybe this is the difference between IT and non-IT ppl haha. That’s why Firefox failed to catch the attentions from non-tech users. Anyway, Jason, your blog doesn’t look too bad in Firefox as well; except the mul-functioning scrolling music corner and contact info.

after twinsdad download firefox few months back, we never want to swift back to IE, to us firefox is soooooooo good and nice to use, and the skin we use now is similar with the mac wan, so clean and nice…
I never explore more about the function, very lucky to have twinsdad get everything done ready-to-use for me, so I just sit back and enjoy using it. but seriously if you find the right setting, everything is just so easy, I open all the blogs in one window with a lot of tabs, and twinsdad even set the link in thunderbird e-mail open with tab in the existing window, so now i no need to have so many window open, the max I have will be firefox, thunderbird, words, and photoshop.

Hmm, too bad I don’t know HTML or CSS. I am still learning bit by bit though, but it seems no progress at all due to my lazyness. :P
Haha! Yaloh, me engineering student, not IT. :P But I’m thinking of switching it, maybe only. Haha! Yaloh~! Maybe I should edit my codes and make it look perfect in IE and FireFox. Then see what I can do with it. :P

Yeah, song is play. Everything is fine except the Javascript that has moving motion - try open IE and see the difference. :) The difference is the javascript is not working.
Hmm, twinsmom, u try to click any link in my blog. It will open a new browser instead of a new tab, right? Sighz, I tried configuring still the same. If like that, it is the same as IE loh~!

I’ve been reading your blog for some time, but never drop any comment before. Cos I seldom comment in life blog.
Once I read about ur experience of selecting the wrong Degree programme (Engineering). For your information, there’re some engineering students doing pretty well in a specific programming language as well. But I would say, it definitely needs a certain degree of commitments and time :-)

pure firefox is nothing special ..
you need go and download template and plugin .. that make your firefox experience different..
there are plugin call tabbrowser preference and single window which force all your new open windows as a tab .
have fun on firefox ..
