I Destroyed My Keyboard!
This early morning about 5AM, I was eating my favourite “Nasi Lemsk” with “Teh-O Ais” in front of the computer. It was when suddenly, the packet of drink fell and spilled on my keyboard - the numeric keypad. I ran to grab a wet cloth and wipe my keyboard before its too late.
After wiping them, I test the keyboard. Too late, my keyboard has gone hay-wire or better known as short circuited. At first, it was my numeric keypad only. Slowly, it expended to my alphabets followed by the function keys. I pressed “Mute”,it gave me the “Enter” function. I pressed “Escape”, it gave me the internet scrollbar function. I pressed “F1″ for my MSN Messenger, it opened up my browser instead.
I felt so sad and depressed as the keyboard not only cost me a boom, but also because of its function and hotkeys. I sent it back to the shop to claim for my warranty as soon as the shop started it business at 11AM. Thank God that my keyboard and mouse have 5 years warranty. I am using a lousy keyboard and a lousy mouse now for the next 1 month. They do not have the programmable function keys like my keyboard or my mouse, which really make my life difficult, especially the mouse. This mouse sucks to the maximum. I am so depressed now.
Lessons of the day :
1) Be extremely careful when you eat or drink in front of the computer.
2) Remember to get a water proof or spill proof keyboard next time.
