2 Long Lost Friends

Ahmad Zulhairi

My primary school classmate since standard 2. He is a Malay, as you can see from his name, but mind you, he is not an ordinary Malay. He is a Malay student that scored 2A’s in Chinese for UPSR when we were standard 6. He made our class, class teacher, headmaster and school proud. Not only that, throughout standard 2 until standard 4, he was always above me in the top ten of my class. Later, he went to Malacca (Kolej Yayasan Saad Melaka) to continue his secondary school and then went overseas to pursue his studies in engineering field. We basically lost contact when we were in secondary school, sad to say, I did not hear from him for a very long time. Lately, through our friend - Lee Meng, we found each other through MSN again. I do not know what to say, but I am glad that we got in touch with each other again. Ahmad cooks delicious curry is his long time nickname when we were in school. Why so? That got to do with his Malay translated Chinese name. Haha! Anyway, I am glad that you are here again and hopefully, we shall never lost contact again.

Jose Lee Han Chiau

My secondary school friend since form 1. We were in different classes, but somehow, we got along together very well throughout the 4 years in PSSS. He is one of the few guys with English name in my school, just like me - Jason Lioh Kee Meng and Jose Lee Han Chiau. He is a very well built student, with a quite handsome face and a cheerful character. He was basically the representative for the B grade classes and science 2. We spent a lot of ridiculous time together, from stealing coconuts together, trying to out run an old lady that was chasing us for stealing her coconuts, going to the same tuition classes and also cycling back to home after school everyday. However, good things never last forever. His father has decided to migrate the whole family to US, which he was working in at that time. Therefore, on the 9th of February 2000, Jose left Malaysia and went to US until now. All his classmates went to KLIA to send him, while I had to stay back. Sorry bout that, Jose! It has been 4 years since he left, and I still miss him so much.Although we added each other in MSN,but its kind of difficult for both of us to sit down and chat. Anyway, he told me that he dropped by my blog recently and I was surprised to hear that. Jose, everybody in Malaysia miss you and wish you all the best over there. We shall not forget you and hope to hear from you soon, better still, come back to Malaysia.

I take the opportunity to say “Thank You” to these two people for visiting my blog and from deep down inside my heart, I miss you guys a lot. Take care! Cheers!
