Abdul, Happy Birthday!
Abdul Rahman Bin Packeer, better known as Abdul or Jack G or Dei or Brader or Champion or…… among peers is a friend that you must get to know no matter under what circumstances or what condition. Trust me, you would not regret and I definately did not. Today, 12/12 is his big day, therefore, I decided to blog about him instead of Adeline - Part III. Before I continue, I wish you happy birthday, blessed with all the loves and cares from your friends in everything you do and always be that cheerful and happy in your life.
Due to my anti social attitude, I only got to know him in Beta year second trimester even though he has been hanging out with my groupmates during our Alpha year, and that was like one year ago. He came all the way down from Cyberjaya to Malacca to look for his friends/my housemates after our finals. That night, Sanjev introduced him to me and I was like not in the same frequency with them, keeping quiet while the others were chatting and joking around. Mind you, the noise they produced especially when they laughed was powerful enough to tear down the whole house. The whole night, I could not join them and went to face my faithful computer instead while they were in Sanjev’s room. Soon, after various on and off chat session, not to mention the few occasions which he would suddenly pop up in front of our house, we got to know each other better.
He is one super cheerful guy, always there to cheer you up no matter how depressed or how sad you are with his super lame and funny jokes. He is the one that can tell you jokes with anything under the sky and under any conditions. Even a restaurant’s name “Hwa Keng” also can be a joke to them, and they could use the “Hwa Keng” in every sentences for one whole month. During the Thomas Cup month, Khoo Kheng Kiat was the man of the match even though they lost, this champion included “Khoo Kheng Kiat” in every sentences. For example : “This burger memang Khoo Kheng Kiat (best) lah!” or “Hwa Keng, that one betul betul is Khoo Kheng Kiat!”. We were laughing super loud in the food court and everyone was looking at our table.
This guy sure has a lot of ideas in picking up girls. He tried very hard to teach me some of them, but apparently, the student - me really useless. He could just pick up a girl during classes or just give a call and off he goes, movie and dinner with her. He proved to me that outer appearance is not a big problem and even better than those handsome guys out there, through his actions, words, sincerity and humours. The confidence and courage he has is so much until he basically could make the impossible into possible. Not only that, he is a very good friend indeed. He helped me a lot in many ways, from financial to special occasions. There was one time when I needed to buy a bouquet of flowers for a friend staying in Cyberjaya. He went to look for the florist in Subang Jaya on Sunday night, but none of them opened. He went back to look again the next day but there was not much flowers left and it required at least a day to prepare a bouquet. He placed an order and went back to collect the flowers the following day and even helped me to deliver the flowers to the birthday girl. Not only that, the bouquet of flowers even came with a cute little teddy bear and it was super beautiful, 6 stalks of roses and lilies each. He did all these when our mid term exam was coming soon! I was so touched and I could only say “Thank You!”.
Abdul is always the man in the crowd. If you see one whole group of MMU students and they are like laughing like mad people, chances of you bumping into Abdul is very high. He will lead the crowd into madness and laughing like nobody’s business. Do you know why? That is because he gets drunk even by drinking “Ribena” only. I wonder what “Ribena” he drinks, the drink does not contain any alchohol but he still gets drunk. I am still wondering why and how he gets drunk by drinking that. Our champion here is really a champion. Why? Because he basically can get a lot of infomations by going through a forum whether it is a football match or final examination’s questions. Accodring to him, he spotted the exact question during his previous finals while going through a forum in one of our MMU’s website. He predicted the exact result and won many football matches by just going through the forums. Trust me, if I tell you he has won nearly RM10k in three days, you better believe me. He is really a champion.
I think I have to stop here, else it will be a never ending story. If you happen to know him, you can consider yourself as the luckiest person around and thank God for sending him to you.
Dei,happy birthday!
